Message THUMP revisions (10)
Greetings everyone,
There have been some changes made to the new THUMP system that everyone needs to be aware of. Remember that the goal behind this is to create methods in-game for characters to handle and react to situations as they see fit, without our intervention. But just like anything else, there are those that will see fit to push the envelope on what is released, and gain advantage from anything we might have missed.
Some of this is effective immediately, the rest will be released within the next week. So consider it as of now, in regards to THUMP ...
The THUMPEE will no longer drop to their knees, regardless of locale. The RT does not change for either them or the THUMPER.
Stealing from someone who is THUMPED will now carry in-game penalties. If you are a Thief practicing your art on someone who's been incapacitated by a THUMP, you will find that by picking such an easy mark you will have sacrificed your bonus. In addition, and this part applies to non-Thieves, you will be automatically charged with an appropriate crime and turned into the local guards.
Once the THUMP has worn off, neither of these penalties shall apply and it returns to business as usual, whatever that nefarious business may be. ;)
I understand that there are those out there that will not like these revisions, but after carefully weighing the existing incidents and potential problems it's been decided that this will be best to reduce the amount of overall abuse complaints and will reduce staff involvement into your scenarios.
Sincerely,
GM Auriane
