Subject The final (we hope) THUMP revisions. (12)


While tossing various ideas back and forth, and monitoring the threads regarding the imminent changes on the boards -- the following was decided and will be implemented probably sometime in the next 24 hours.

THUMP's changes (the first ones) were essentially meant to make it a RP tool, for whichever purpose you chose to use it. But in very short order, abuse situations began to emerge that were significant enough for us to try and rethink how to address it without losing the verb completely. So in the spirit of moving away from unnecessarily micro-managing things on a policy level, we've decided that rather than heap a pile of rules on it -- we'll just take them away.

THUMP will no longer knock the thumpee to their knees, this is live and is not changing. Now THUMP will lose its RT -- for both the THUMPER and the THUMPEE.

This way there is no more window for abuse, it is what it was intended to be, a RP tool for the specific purpose of silencing another player for a limited amount of time.

More isn't always better, sometimes it's just more.
