[Temple Hill, Memorial Park]
Grass surrounds a small reflecting pool in this wooded park at the top of the hill. Strategically placed low stone benches surround the pool, allowing peaceful contemplation of life. Roses twine along a fence that separates the park from the quarry to the east. You also see a grassy path heading south and a tall deobar tree strung with a garland of sculpted rock crystal bells through its branches.
Obvious paths: north, east.
You climb up into the heights of a tall deobar tree.
[Aavarine's Home]
High silver-bordered walls and a polished riverstone floor covered by an ivory and platinum rug enclose this room. In one corner lies an ebonwood canopy bed, and near the bed sits a lustrous ebonwood table with a fluted glass vase and a pale ashwood music box inlaid with silver on it. A cracked stone fireplace burns along the far wall, above it hanging a platinum gilt mirror with tiny etched roses. The room holds a lingering scent of k'dira leaves. You also see a wooden door, a dark-stained oak wardrobe with a tiny ceramic tree with thin gold leaves on it, a crisp white linen-covered armchair that is facing the table and a silky black short-haired cat.
Obvious exits: none
>look rug
Wide bands of polished platinum wind around the large decorative tassels that line the fringe of the heavy ivory rug.
>look bed
Carved upon this fine bed are images of dancing fae and frolicking pixies. Pale tulle drapes over the head of the bed to fall gracefully on each side to be gathered by golden bands of spidersilk.
>look on bed
On the canopy bed you see an ice white stuffed fae with gold and green gossamer wings and a willowy Elven lass doll.
On the ebonwood table you see a fluted glass vase and a pale ashwood music box inlaid with silver.
>look vase on table
The vase contains a charming bouquet of soft lilac fae slippers interspersed with baby's breath and deep purple statice.
>look music box on table
Cast in fine silver, a revolving platform within the box supports a cleverly modeled tableau depicting a silver willow tree leaning gracefully over a still pool of glassy water. The slender figure of a nyad, carved from rock crystal clear as ice, rises from the surface of the pond, one languid arm raised above her head towards a singing wren half hidden in the branches of the willow tree.
>look in wardrobe
In the oak wardrobe you see a steel grey wool longcoat bearing intricate silver filigree designs on the high collar and hem, an elegant pale grey skirt exquisitely embroidered with fanciful silver knotwork, some soft grey suede boots side-laced with steelsilk ribbons, and a stack of magic handbooks.
>look tree on wardrobe
Fine gold has been molded into individual leaves, dangling off the nut brown ceramic branches of this miniature tree.
Now if only I could keep the black cat off the white armchairs...

Upon the mountains like a flame." -- W.B. Yeats
