It's been well over a year, perhaps two, since I posted my treehouse here for all to see, and I've made a few changes since then, so here is my home in all its girly splendor:
[Temple Hill, Memorial Park]
Grass surrounds a small reflecting pool in this wooded park at the top of the hill. Strategically placed low stone benches surround the pool, allowing peaceful contemplation of life. Roses twine along a fence that separates the park from the quarry to the east. You also see a tall deobar tree strung with an array of brightly colored glass spheres of various sizes in its branches and a grassy path heading south.
Obvious paths: north, east.
>go tree
You climb up into the heights of a tall deobar tree.
[Aavarine's Home]
High silver-bordered walls and a polished riverstone floor covered by an ivory and platinum rug enclose this room. In one corner lies an ebonwood canopy bed, and near the bed sits a lustrous ebonwood table with a miniature model tree that closely resembles the Sana'ati Dyaus and a pale ashwood music box inlaid with silver on it. A cracked stone fireplace burns along the far wall, above it hanging a small picture of a woodland pool. The room holds a faint scent of dried flowers. You also see a stained glass willow window, a wooden door, a crisp white linen-covered armchair that is facing the table, an elegantly-carved ash closet with a small e'erdream wood chest with an inlaid design on it and a silky black short-haired cat.
Obvious exits: none
>look bed
Carved upon this fine bed are images of dancing fae and frolicking pixies. Pale tulle drapes over the head of the bed to fall gracefully on each side to be gathered by golden bands of spidersilk.
>look on bed
On the canopy bed you see a rose-patterned blanket and a willowy Elven lass doll.
>look under bed
Under the canopy bed you see a stack of magic handbooks.
>look tree on table
The sacred symbol of Leth Deriel is recreated here with attention to detail. Bright green painted leaves adorn the branches of this model, showing the tree in full bloom. One can even glimpse the tiny burl at the base.
>look box on table
Cast in fine silver, a revolving platform within the box supports a cleverly modeled tableau depicting a silver willow tree leaning gracefully over a still pool of glassy water. The slender figure of a nyad, carved from rock crystal clear as ice, rises from the surface of the pond, one languid arm raised above her head towards a singing wren half hidden in the branches of the willow tree.
>look picture on wall
The small picture shows a pixie swimming in the pool created by a waterfall. The spray of the falls obscures her form, but you can still see the mischief in her eyes as she peers out, crooking her finger in a beckoning motion.
There appears to be something written on it.
A small picture reads:
"Joy of Life, by Semtrach Mouzon."
>look window
Tiny shards of colored glass are arranged to form the image of a weeping willow tree, its pale green branches trailing down to be caught by the current of a stream. A graceful doe and a pair of fawns are shown drinking from the water as a majestic stag watches warily for predators.
>look in closet
In the ash closet you see an alluring blue-grey gown veiled in ethereal Elven lace and silken sana'ati leaves, a polished tile mosaic, an oval mirror of fine crystal framed within handtooled silverbark and a fluted glass vase.
>look mosaic in closet
The mosaic fills the wall with scenes of Elven culture. From singing and dancing to family portraits, the intricate stonework breathes life in the past.
>look vase in closet
The vase contains a charming bouquet of soft lilac fae slippers interspersed with baby's breath and deep purple statice.
"Come fairies, take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind and dance
Upon the mountains like a flame." -- W.B. Yeats
