I'm looking to find an available home in or near Crossing; what housing areas are there? I'm looking specifically for middle or upper class; upper class is preferable, of course. I'll take the apartment or a freestanding home. Also, other than Willow Walk (which is full) are there any other Empath-only areas?

There a lot of homes out the North gate.. northerly, through the gate, wander around. It's middle class rural though. The only upper class I know of is through the Almhara arch, but it's usually pretty full. I abandoned my residence there and it was taken in a matter of days.
If you find a place you like, and are patient, you can usually nab one when someone leaves.

Free standing homes:
Upper Class homes in Crossing: Goldstone Square, through Almhara Arch. (Shameless plug: I have a fully furnished home there available for sale, write to my play.net address above if interested.)
Across the Leth Ferry, south then northeast, there is a neighborhood of mixed upper class and middle class homes. Occasional vacancies.
Middle class homes in Crossing: No, no other empath-only places than Willow Walk. General middle class free-standing homes in Midton Circle (Go path from TGNE), Smithy Lane (from Tembeg's armory go NW, Go gate), Riverpine Circle (from bank, go e, south several times, then east into the housing area) for middle class and lower class homes. There are also a few middle/lower class homes both north and south of the Jail in the west part of town.
Outside the north gate and up the road a piece is a village gate leading to Rugglestone Close, middle class homes. There are also middle class homes in Arthe Dale and Kaerna Village.
If you are willing to take an apartment, there are three buildings along the road down near Lemicus Square, and also some in every Inn in Crossing.
There are also many guild-only areas in and around town.
