how bout the ability to create maps, might be a bit useful and a bit of rp fluff

study area
you study the area breifly until it's set in your mind

jot map
you got down where you think this is on your map
or
you don't have a clue where to put this place so you start a new area on your map

draw water on map
you grab a brush and dab a bit of color on it, and paint some water on the map where you put this area down

study map
as you look fondly over you map you notice a mistake and quickly correct a route
or
as you gaze at the map you relize a child with a stick coulda done better

look map
(you see a rough image of what you mapped out)

shrugs if it was i didn't notice it.. i usually skim the forums tell i come across something interesting

good idea though to base it off scholarship as well
