I lost the thread where we were providing ideas for enchanting fluff, but one big neat one could be foci with different messaging. I happen to love the neitrice powder messaging for moon mages, but I hate the universal focus "raise a beacon of glowing light" messaging. It seems to me like there's a lot of different options for crafted ritual foci casting messaging you could build into enchanting.
Yeah I've been mulling over how to add some wow factor to Foci. I am considering proposing that higher Tier foci give a RT reduction to their use. And the easier to craft ones will be staves, and the harder ones will be ... other unique objects that are smaller.
Cool messaging all around is a goal. Feel free to email me suggestions for messaging for any kind of item you can think of. Every bit helps :)

Just a random completely unthought out suggestion, a foci/weapon that can combine an attack/foci trigger at the same time.

Well, the concept behind TM Foci at least, was reducing weapon damage in exchange for more TM damage :P I suppose if the RT for activating them lasted ~ as long as targeting that would be fine.

I think that was the original idea, but it occurs to me that if the TM foci enchantment is "huge," then it would require a crappy weapon to be able to fit it and preclude adding powerful damage enchantments.
