I've been told that a composite battle bow hits harder than any of the other varieties? Does anyone know if that's correct? According to epedia it's this level without and with techs:
Tier 10 Difficult 1175 ~839
Definitely a bit up there.
I also heard that the draw strength increasing tech hasn't been released yet. I guess this is a question for Kodius, but I'm hoping when it's released it will be backwardly compatible tomorrow with a bow that's crafted today?
If all that is true, my question is can anyone cap such a bow for me? I have the hickory lumber.

In all of my testing in Test I found this to be true, but I will add that the battle longbow isn't much weaker and worth the consideration since it has less RT.

Whoever told you that was wrong. Lightening (lowers draw strength) and Cable-backing (raises draw strength) have been available and working since day 1 of release. They use the Advanced Bow Enhancement tech which is unlocked by the Bow Lamination tech.

There are a few people I've seen able to cap battle bows with common wood. I'd suggest asking in game.

That depends. The DPS is similar across all bow ranges. But the slower bows do hit harder per arrow.
