A few extra ideas, in the event you were running low:
A small wooden gift box - would be EXTRA great if this could be tied into the codex system you're working on and an image could be carved into the top or a face of the box.
High-end success -> Tap: A small engraved silverwood gift box. Look: One the box's face is engraved a detailed carving of the birthday cake. The shaper has gone so far as to incorporate the wood's grain into the design, making it evermore lifelike. Three layers are clearly displayed, separated by peaking icing. The exquisite flames atop the the candles almost seem to flicker.
Laughable failure -> Tap: A small vandalized maple gift box. Look: Some crude knife work was performed on this pitiful box. It is possible the defacer intended the grevious wounds inflicted upon the wooden face to form an image, but whether it was meant to be a birthday cake or a fallen bear impaled by a half-dozen crossbow bolts, you really can't be sure.
A large wooden crate - carryable container.
A wood hand cart (if this isn't too tinkering-ish) that could be DRAGged around with stuff in it - perhaps a limited lifespan to keep them from causing excessive item count
Sabots (wooden shoes)
Wooden shields
Puzzle box (if that isn't too tinkering-ish)
Wooden spear - whittled to a point, basically just a javelin
Straight wooden arrows - whittled to a point, provided the idea of a pile-less arrow actually hitting a target isn't a problem. Hey, it works in GS.
Wooden doors
Trader shop tables
Wooden plates
Training Swords - terrible weapons with weak blunt damage, mostly for RP
Back scratcher - wooden model of the metal one. The one I have IRL is wood.
Wooden clubs and cudgels
Galleons
Taking stock of its defensive abilities, and attacking with a book of apprentice carving instructions, you are certain that the dire bear is a truly skilled opponent.

I would love to see more crate/box type containers that are wearable. Particularly for the shoulder.
In fact I extend this request to tailoring! I'd love to see more than duffel bags and haversacks. I can give lots of ideas here if you need them.
I also like the gift box idea and would like to see gift bags in tailoring.

Seems to fit better with tinkering. Hinges, latches, etc.

You and me both. Would be awesome to have more shoulder container options. Totes, satchels, even purses.
You say to Tathalus, "Have you ever tried to clean a troll den? The smell sticks around for years to come."
Liev says, "That is my cue to leave."

Making hinges might be a tinkering thing, but slapping hinges on two pieces of wood isn't exactly rocket science. Further, no every box uses tinges. Simple lips on a box's lid, inside or outside, would effectively keep it closed, and those could fairly easily be formed into the wood or joined in simple fashion, likely with glue for a cheap, simple box which well may be thrown away after the gift is received.
