Will there be scope in the mining section for ownership of a gas sniffing bird to own and keep as both pet and sniffer? so you can take it to the mines/mining area, then home again, feeding would be seeds or wild corn foraged, if you went into battle with it on your person, then you'd stand a better than 90% chance of it being killed, and a certain period of time you'd be unable to purchase a replacement bird, of course if the bird died in the mines due to gas, a replacement could be aquired quite quickly.

that'll be cool and all, cept that if the WM's got wind of this, you'll never hear the end of the whining from them, but, if they only stayed in the mine, like while you worked, you "rented" a couple of them to make sure the air was safe, that'll be cool, and I think would fly, and if they died, you'de have to pay "the man" the cost of raising a new bird. and like, you'de have to have several birds, because if a bird died of like say a heart attack or some other natural cause, you won't wanna freak out and lose your room in the mine. cause that's what they did in real mines, get several birds...^_^ anyway...just watch out for the WM's whining, ~_^
