All tools should have weapon stats. That being said it would be nice to have our tools with melee abilities. I understand that the stats would be terrible but the option would be there. Most of the various crafting tools could be potential weapons, be them blunts, edged, points, or thrown. Shovels i'd see as a swappable weapon from edge to blunt and a pick axe should be quite deadly.

It was mentioned when the system first came out, the GK* mentioned it something like that would be part of either advanced and/or rare templates.

The Master Tool Design blacksmithing technique handles templates that might function things like this. So it's in the plan, at least!
