Out of curiosity, has anyone encountered any etiquette issues with the new teaching yet?

Two items, I found, but at best they are minor annoyances rather than interferances on some level.
1)people have stopped asking to join the class unless they have to (closed classes or someone not teaching the subject already). There doesn't seem to be any impact from this as far as mindstates go (approaching 200 and I've yet to drop to fluid with a class of about 10), so it's purely a common courtesy sort of thing.
2)capable empaths are facing too-large crowds that force them to LOOK at everyone instead of PERC HEALTH to pick up the unfortunate fools about to die. This too isn't really necessary, since we have about 14000 other rooms beyond healing spots with something to perc in them and patients have largely learned not to come running about to die to empaths at the last minute. Still kinda sucks to be that one guy that dies because empaths aren't used to the scroll, though.
J'Lo, I'm a ranger.. I'd believe anything.....

Even if mindstate were a problem, the teacher has the option of closing the class to protect it, so I personally don't see a problem with people joining an open class without asking. Open by definition means feel free to join in on the action no invite needed. Open house, open door policy, etc. I think its the responsibility of the teacher to set it to closed if they don't want random people joining in.

the only thing i've encountered is due to demeanor settings, an elf wasn't able to listen to my dwarfs class until she was directed invited to join the class... <teach tm to **>

An emergency on someone else's part does not constitute a crisis on mine. I'd just as soon let 'em die. There's no death scars anymore for departing so they can do that too.
