The Two Towers: The Bloodening! on 12/23/2002 01:18 AM CST
Well, I went to go see the movie for the second time and I have more comments to say! (Not to mention, some comments that I forgot in my first post)
Oh and yes, possible spoilers!
I realized that the characters in the movie can be summed up by just a couple words...
Elves: Shiny
Humans: Dirty hair
Bad guys: Bad dental care
I would hate to be caught in an invasion with that bad of a swarm. It's like..you kill 4 and 20 more come in. That's at the point where you can't retreat because you just retreat into more of them!
And no matter what you guys say, Gimli had to be tossed :P He would not logically have been able to make that leap by himself.
Random favorite quote: "Well, it doesn't make much sense to me, but you're so small" (Perhaps you need to be small to find it as funny...)
Question: How exactly did Gandolf get onto that tower? He's falling, he's falling, he's stabbing the creature, they're falling and falling, and bam! Wait a minute...where'd the tower come from!
Another favorite quote: "I like going south. It always feels like I'm going downhill"
Invented quote for the scene where the Elves arrive just before the big battle starts:
Elf Leader: "We come bearing shampoo and conditioner!"
Legolas: "Phew! I was starting to friz!"
I think, besides living forever (except if they're killed), another ability that Elves have is that their hair stays perfect even if they just get chopped in the back of the head. I'm so taking this ability! It'll give me something to be happy about. Who cares if Marauders just killed me and I lost 3 ranks in experience? None of my hair is out of place! My braid is still just as beautiful!
And that stupid The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins song is stuck in my head, but I can only remember the first line! Does anyone know where I can (easily) find a place to download it? If it's gonna be stuck in my head, I at least want to be able to sing the whole thing -_-

The following address should work. QuickTime movie, I believe, but I don't have a player installed at the moment.

I can answer this just cos I was thumbing through my book just a couple of days ago. <g>
In the book, Gandalf and the Balrog fell down. They fought, and then Gandalf followed the Balrog into some tunnels, and the Endless Stair, that led up. (about 14 page into The White Rider chapter)
