Ok. I've decided to start this out with a little rant about actually GETTING to the theatre.... If you don't want the rant, just scroll down.

<RANT>
Ok. The plan was to get out of class at 2:30pm yesterday (Wednesday) and pick up my two roommates and drive to London (Ontario) to see Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers in London's Silver City. So I get home at about 2:40pm and go into the house, go to the kitchen to get a water bottle and the roommates are eating soup.
Ok. No big deal. I can wait a few minutes before we head out.
Not so much. They weren't ready until about 3:00pm. So much for the idea of leaving early for rush hour (since we wouldn't get to London until about 4:00pm, I wanted extra time to actually make our way through the city to the theatre.)
Ok. So at 4:00pm we get to London and guess what. Rush hour. It takes us about 50 minutes to get through town and by the time we get there, all the good seats are taken and we have to sit up front. ::mutter::</RANT>

Phew... Ok. Other than that, the movie was FANTASTIC. I was particularly impressed with the protrayal of Smegul. The animation was excellent... it was almost hard to believe that he wasn't real. And the Ents were done wonderfully too. I must admit I was a little disappointed that the didn't include everything with the Ents, but I understand why the cut it out. (Boo to time. Boo I say.)
