I have learned that the player of Kittrinna has very tragically passed away at a very young age. There is another who can give you all the details and for the sake of her privacy I won't go into it. Any of you who knew her or her former thief Karinnaa knows she was an amazing, happy-go-lucky, funny (especially her blonde moments) and caring person, always willing to give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. This is a great loss to the community. God bless the mayor of Rossmans Landing.
On a personal note, K was my very best friend in the realms, and has been since we started the game with our little thieves what seems like so many years ago. I grieve for her family and children, and, well I'm just stunned and overwhelmed. I will miss her very, very much. God Bless.

Kittrinna was someone I was luckly enough to build a strong friendship with. Someone I found myself talking to each day both in and out of DR. Both her and her player were incredibly nice women. Someone that was always willing to help out in any way she could, even if it meant dropping what tasks she had at hand. She also spent time holding events that brought alot of us together and created fun times that we'll always remember. I'm still a bit shocked and having a hard time letting it soak in.
This is the most depressing news i've heard in quite some time. She was a wonderful person that will be missed very very much.

I have been in contact with Kitt's DR/RL mom, Falcraa. She will be sending me information regarding a memorial service and I'll pass it on to the rest of the realms. As Korutu said, I'm at a loss for words as I sit here and write this post. Kitt was a great friend to me and was one of the most generous people I know. I will miss chatting with her IM and IG. She was one of my best friends here in DR and I'm just shocked and saddened. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

The Order of the Crystal Wolf, of which Kittrinna was one of our founding members, will be hosting a Memorial planning meeting this Sunday, March 5th at 9pm EST at the Baron's Table Inn, in Therenborough and everyone is invited to attend.
The purpose of this meeting will be to plan for an in-game memorial to honor the passing of our sister Kittrinna.
Those with ideas and suggestions are invited to join us, as are those who just wish to come to share their grief over the passing of a truly wonderful person.
If you have any thoughts or ideas to share, but can not make this meeting please see Mordibar or myself in game.

This is kind of hard to accept. I've been reading over the posts for the past few hours and it's just not sinking in.
She was one of those rare individuals that people seem to take an immediate liking to, myself included. I respected her for being one of the few long-term players of DR that play to just plain have fun.
My condolences to her family and close friends. She was too young.

This is breaking my heart, I was and am very fond of Kit and Keeshya. I will miss her soul dearly and I will pray for her and her family. She will always be in my heart, sometimes it is hard for me to understand god's plan but I trust she is in a better place watching over all of us. This really sucks...

I....I don't know what to say.
Kitty was one of the few people IG that I interacted with regularly. I have spent the last few weeks talking to her- bothering her actually heh- because I have been working on a baby thief I have had for 10 years but never used...and she was ALWAYS there to give advice and help me with some of the basics I needed to learn to play a non magic using character.
When I signed on tonight I recieved a message from Palasix that she had passed away and I was floored. The last interaction I had with her was a quick hug outside the NE Gate to the Cursing last night...we didn't even speak, just hugged and she ran off.
She was always running somewhere and never really slowed down. Her empath Keeshya never accepted tips and Kitty never charged me for popping my boxes, even though it was normally 50 or more at a time.
Man...I am rambling and for the most part I am at a loss for words, and if you ask anyone who knows my character, Daimonious: I am NEVER at a loss for words, but this is difficult because I feel that I should write something meaningful, and I can't. I want to scream and break something and curse the God that took her away...but it won't bring her back. It's not going to make it any less difficult not seeing her in the realms.
But it is not as difficult as seeing her AIM Pidgeon still signed on and knowing that the away message means "never coming back."
I'm going to send her one last message that simply says- 'I love you, and I will miss you...thank you Kitty.'
And tomorrow someone will shut her computer down and she will be gone forever...

This is a tragic loss for our community. I've been friends with Kittrinna a long time as well, just the other day over AIM we were reminiscing about when we first met too... Life can be very mean sometimes. We will miss you, Muffkins.

sighs...I really am at a total loss to words. Kitt meant a lot to me, she was always there for me whenever I needed her. Falcraa adopted my barbarian Dreisin quite some time ago and Kitt was there immediately, like a long lost sibling and from that day on, she was always there to lend an ear no matter what was troubling me. She had her good days and her bad days, just like anyone else, yet her generosity would astound ya. I can't count the times where she went entirely out of her way to give me an item I was in need of, drag me up the streams around Rossman's or generally help me out in so many different ways that I can't even begin to explain. But more than that, she was a very close friend and I miss her dearly and it hasn't even begun to sink in yet. I'll never forget all the times she dragged my barb into bristlebacks when he had little more than 140 in his main weapon. Yet she was there, legging the bristlebacks like no other and eventually, I'd always get stunned and she'd be dragging me back to Keeshya to get me fixed up so we could go at it again. It was the little things like that that I absolutely loved about her. She was one of the kindest people I know and I can look back and remember that I told her I loved my dear sis last night...before I got home today and learned within a mere hours that she was gone, never to return. I wish someone would turn that cursed aim off. anyhow, I'm rambling and there's so much I want to say but...I can't really bring myself too, I just wanted to say that I loved Kitt very much for the way she always treated me and everyone else and I'm going to miss her...a lot...

I know what you mean its hard to even imagine just hours ago we was killin mammoths and she got killed by them while dragging me :( we didnt always get along cause of box competition she was always nice when we did talk and with old character she was sweet when when we hunted together, just so hard to imagine does anyone know how old she was?

I've been sitting at my desk for the past few hours, just numb. Known her since I first came to the Realms over 2 years ago. She helped me out a lot when I was just learning called me a friend. She was always quick to help and even quicker with the hugs and smooches. A very sad day indeed. I really don't know what else to say except that I will miss her a helluva lot and send up my prayers for her family for the strength to get through this. Love ya, Kitt!

I'm still at a complete loss for anything worthwhile to say. From the first time I met Karinnaa to the last time Kittrinna run-by smooched me, she was far and away one of my best friends. She helped me get through some hard times, both in game and out.

Knowing Kittratinna was a great thing for me. She was always there if I needed her, and the above statments are true. The details surrounding her death and the her age makes it almost impossible to comprehend. I still see her signed on AIM, I sent her a message right after I heard she died, hoping this was all a joke. I'm still waiting on a response. :( I will miss her greatly, as will everyone that knew her. This is kind of offtopic, but ... Due to these events, alot of her friends have been pushing to have the guesthouse where she camped, renamed in her honor. A suggestion by one, was to add another room onto the guesthouse, and put a portrait of her up, with a bucket in there.
Kitt, we all loved you. I hope you are in a better place, smiling down on us. I thank you for being my friend you were always there if I needed you for anything.

I have a bit more information this morning regarding services for Kathleen, Kittrinna's player.
Kathleen was adopted, and so was lucky enough to have two moms. Betty is her bio-mom, and Mary is her adopted-mom. Betty is the player behind Falcraa and is the person I have been in contact with. Betty was very close to Kathleen and also has a close relationship with Mary. Mary plans on having Kathleen cremated and having a memorial service in New York state in the spring. If this changes, I will post. I wish to respect both individuals privacy, so if you'd like to email my play.net address or IM me, I will share both moms addresses for folks to send cards and condolences. My IM is valynndr and I'll turn down the privacy function for the next couple days. I'll try to have my IM open later today and tomorrow, but I doubt I'll be IG.

Before I begin, this is the old player of Hanafae, sort of borrowing a login to post my thoughts in memory of Kathleen(Kittrinna and Karinna). As many of you know I am no longer in the realms these days, but I still keep in touch with much of my Dragonrealms family as they mean alot to me. For anyone who did not know her, she was a spirited, kind, hilarious and generous person. One thing that is difficult when we lose someone in the realms is the feeling of helplessness. I am glad to hear there is talk of a memorial in game and I also love the idea of doing something in her name in the guesthouse.
I know its hard to see her IM still up with her away message, but being able to get a final glimpse of that vixen kitty and remembering all of our good times gives me a smile to go along with the tears. To anyone that would like to something in her honor, I offer the advice to carry out her spirited and generous nature as she once did.
Peace and love,
Hanafae / Amy

Let me start by saying that after learning about this last night I attempted to post something here and nothing seemed worthy of honoring the memory of the person behind Kittrinna. Nothing has changed about that today so I'll simply say that she was a kind and generous person who went out of her way to make those arround her happy. I will miss seeing her and being arround her infectious humor. I hope that her family can one day find peace in her passing and she will be in the prayers of our family.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Valynn, Mordibar and myself will be spearheading the process of creating some kind of memorial for Kittrinna and I have read through many of the ideas and love them all.
We have already reached out to the Simu staff for their guidance and insight as to what we can or can't get accomplished.
As it is still early in this process and many of us are still reeling from this horrible and tragic news, I would again invite everyone to either attend our planning meeting this Sunday evening at 9pm EST in Theren, or contact one of us in game with any thoughts or ideas.
I think it absolutely make sense to focus on the guesthouse in Rossman's, which we all know was her home and "office", we certainly will be making that a priority with the Simu staff to find out what can be considered. I believe it also make sense that we consolidate our thoughts and approach them in a singular fashion to be most productive.
Personally, I love the idea of the kitten playing with a lockpick in that room.
As Kitt had so many friends and touched so many lives here, I don't want to leave anyone or any idea out, so again, I would like to solicit everyone's input and let everyone know that we will take our time and make sure we do something that is truly proper and fitting. The completion of this memorial will be a service that will be announced well ahead of time for all to attend and participate in.

I met kitty when she was Karinna, she had the audacity to steal off me when it is totally out of character, and I hunted her down and she paid the ultimate price
for her indiscretion. Since then we have been the greatest of freinds talking daily, helping each other thru various issues in game mutually working together to help newbies to get there feet and feel welcome in the world we love of elanthia. I was blown away when she got Karinna taken away and encouraged her to keep going. To my knowledge Kitty was the only teef to make 100th circle in under 24 months, and while doing it, she took the time to socialise, attend tourneys. To bring her love of life to the world. If you were down she would make you laugh, or comfort you when down. Always extending the hand to anyone in need.
Kitty is an immese loss to myself, and to us all and she deserves to be remembered in some way in this world. We wish you a better life next time round, it's sad to see someone fall asleep in death at such a young age.

Like others, I don't really know what to say. It's funny that in a game like this with so many people playing that one can still feel isolated, as everyone runs about persuing their own agendas and sticking to their own clicks.
Kitt was an exception, warm and friendly the very first time I met her. It was people like her that made the community an actual community, and I for one feel the Realms is a lesser place today having heard this.
Goodbye, Kitt. We miss you.

re: Kittrinna on 03/05/2006 02:27 PM CST
I am sad today because the news is very bad.
I play a thief named Rescator, but my first character was a warrior mage named Xalanthus. I met Karinnaa as Xalanthus years ago at the lockpicking door in the Warrior Mage fortress, and at the time I was tickled that I could teach her hiding and disarm. I forget who the guy was who was with her that day, but he was ribbing her and telling her he would tell all their friends how she'd been slacking at her training since she was being taught by a WM. It was all in good fun. She was the type of person that just opened up to you and and made you feel like you'd known her your entire life. I stayed in touch with her on IM ever since.
Then Karinnaa met her demise, and Kittrinna was born. There was a time when Rescator was a circle or two above Kittrinna back when we were both about 20. But then I slept a long time, and I was amazed at how she zoomed past me. She was a great player. As a learning thief she helped me quite a bit. One day I mentioned I needed to buy lockpicks, and just like that she gave me a dozen master's irons for free that she had carved. One thief helping another. It was so typical of her to be so unselfish. That was a long time ago, and I still have most of those lockpicks. I've sold a few, but now I'll make sure that I have at least one of them for all time to come.
I really appreciate the suggestion of a kitten playing with a lockpick being placed in the room where Kittrinna spent so much time. That is absolutely so perfect. It should purr happily in your direction when you pet it. I was a GM for a while, and if I was still on staff I would push for that memorial release very hard.
But now it is goodbye. Thanks for being such a wonderful friend and for all the teefy stuff you taught me. I shall miss you very much, but one thing I do know is that as long as even one player remains in DR who remembers you and all you did for so many, then Kittrinna is still alive.
Kit Kat, wherever you are, I wish you good hunting, fair winds, and high fortune, my very good friend!
