Hehee.....As long as the heat don't beat England.............::Grimaces::
>>Ya gotta say, that's a great goal by Ronaldinho.
Yeah...He did well with what he was given....Seaman shouldn't have given it to him though. Seaman slacking was as big a factor as his kick.
And like the announcer said...Beckham shoulda tapped that ball out and ended the first half one up.
Really no excuses for losing either. Three injuries, but none seemed to pose any lasting effects. Only thing that really really kicked England down was the heat, which really was quite a factor. Other than that, they just didn't play well.

After Beckham's first game where he played brilliantly, it seemed like he was somewhat bothered by his foot. If Beckham would have stayed to tap that ball out, he had two Brazilians sliding at him. I think his hop over the ball was more to insure that he didn't reinjure his foot than a bad play.
Also as a side note, what is everyone's opinion on how the US played in that match against Germany?

I think the US played a great game considering they are not the big soccer power. THe last two minutes were wonderful specially that barely missed header to tie. Was a great game. When the younger players start to grow and solidify I think the US will be quite a bit harder at the next cup.

<<The US got robbed out of that game. There was a handball early in the second half, where the defender used his hand to stop the ball, after the goalie had slapped it away.---Ecoles >>
Yeah, I sorta filed that under the whole "Karma" thing since the US had a hand ball uncalled against Mexico. All in all though I thought the US team earned a lot of respect out there on the field. So many players just played fantastic and Germany's goalie was the reason that they won.

Congratulations to Brasil on being the better of the two teams on the day, England seem to be very slow and tired in the last 20 minutes.
I think the ref was somewhat over zelous with his red card, yellow okay, but no need for red
We are still awaiting Brasil to actually make it look like they are switched on and going to dazzle us with thier fancy footwork
