Yah; Kansai is the area around Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara in west-central Japan, so if you're up in (I assume you meant) Aomori, you're WAY north of me.

Ah well. Good to know there are other folks on this island, even if they're at the other end of it. ^_^

Korea is a grand place if ya have an open mind. I'd like to go back. Oh and don't try to talk about the sea of japan there.. they get pissed.. it's the eastern sea.

Yeah; both the prefecture and capital are named Aomori (the characters mean blue/green (ao), and forest (mori) -- really perty), unless there's some prefecture I don't know about, which is totally possible. Your prefecture is immediately south of Hokkaido across the strait, right?
