So how many people are from Chicago or the Chicagoland area. I'm out in the far west burbs of Plainfield and have always thought it would be great for a group of us to get together for pizza, beer, or what ever beverage floats your boat.
Yoohoo! I'm in Elk Grove (between Schaumburg & O'Hare).
I know there are a few other locals... at least one GM... several folks I found via that Player Map that Solomon created.

Well lets start to get the ball rolling. As more people from our area see this they can jump on board. I would suggest a date a bit out to allow time for people to plan. How about March 31st? And so far I know myself and at least two others are in Plainfield and another who get to this area often. So how about we make the pizza night maybe up in Naperville. Got some good pizza places and it's easy to get to.

Rockford here. I can make it into Chicago. I think GM Helena is also in that area and has been to a few Chicago get togethers.

north aurora here. im thinking a meeting would be great. let me know time and place. since im right by the highway and can go pretty much anywhere in ill easy. weekend would be best. also as a side note can anyone tell me how to post a picture on the left side of the post. im not on the boards much..i want to be cool like everyone one else.uh yea like mike hah

I'd be for meeting in Naperville since I live in that area but would be willing to meet somewhere also. Only thing is I think I am gone the weekend of the 31st. Prett much free anytime but that weekend.

Yep, she lives in Wheaton I believe.
I'd love to do a get-together. Problem is I work Saturdays until at least 3 - often later - so if it's a Saturday thing then later is better for me.
Past couple years I've tried to get large groups for Bristol Ren Faire in the summer, but got mixed responses... one time I think several may have shown up, but I just never found them! Heh.

Ok I'm going to just set the date, time, and place and hopefully everyone can reply that they will be able to make it. This should be fun as I always thought I was maybe 1 of 2 or 3 people in chicagoland that played DR. | As it just so happens it's likely that I will be in town on the 25th, I happen to live in Dubuque, IA about 4 hrs drive and will be in Chicago that weekend to visit my cousin who i believe actually lives in Naperville. If possible i'll be there. |

I'd be happy to make a get together though that weekend might be bad for me as I had tentative plans to go out of town.
Just keep me posted. I know we've always struggled with Chicago gatherings for some reason but I really would be happy to meet up with some of the lovely darlings around here.

Ok, I would like to have as many people possible able to attend so for that reason I'm going to throw four dates out for everyone to look at. * $99.00 for single through quadruple occupancy.
The conference room they have for us can be broken into three seperate rooms so at least three meetings can be held at the same time in that room.
I need at least one other person to be co-chair for this event. (I have been taking a lot of slack from my husband for taking the lead in this.)
So far I haven't asked any of you to lead any meetings, plan events, etc.
If anyone is interested Schlafly Brewery http://www.schlafly.com/brewpubs.shtml said they would be glad to have us, their tour is free and they can take about 30 people on one tour that lasts about 25 minutes, they do a tasting afterwards and have a gift shop and an outdoor beer garden that can hold ~50 people.
Now is the time to step up to the plate...
