The hotel F&B Folks want to know if anyone has any special requests for beer or alcohol that they might not already carry or that they might not carry enough of.
If you are attending the Con and have any special requests, please post over on the SimuCon boards so I can compile a list and let them know?

Knowing where Shygoat lives I'm going to guess Yingers are Yuengling? I doubt they can get that in St. Louis without a lot of effort. I've never seen Yuengling anywhere, but at one of the "SmellyCons" I went to. That's strictly a northeastern thing I take it. It was good though and I need to have another again sometime.
A lot of the people in my group seems to plow through Corona like no other as seen in the past. Out of the easy to come by stuff that's a good one to make sure is fully stocked if not overstocked.
I would drink regular Guinness all day and night if they have it. The last hotel I know only had extra stout. Extra stout is good, but just plain ole Guinness is glorious. I'm not really picky at all though. I'd certainly live without it.
The most important thing is to tell the bartenders to come well rested.

Thd tragic part is that you can't find Yeungling in Ohio; we always have to stock up while passing through PA on ski trips. Why such a delicious and well known beer is not better distributed is mind blowing.

I can get it in South Carolina, I can get it in Florida, but I can't find it in Georgia, which makes me sad face. I'm only ~40 miles from Alabama, can anyone tell me if I can get it there? Also, is driving to another state for a beer you like a bit strange? Keep in mind I already have a favorite liquor store, they give me bulk discounts.

While they might have opened a second brewery there, Yuengling will always be "made" in Pottstown, Pennsylvania - The oldest brewery in America. If you take the tour they basically admit then never even shut down during prohibition.

All of this is moot. Yuengling can't hold a candle to any of the Dogfish Head beers.

Glad the Yeungling request was put in, I already kinda miss it. That and Miller Lite. If they can get and Pripps Bl? or Norrlands Guld, I would be tickled.

We have it up here in Rome Hanryu. So it is available in Georgia. Probably just a distributer thing.

I've never seen Yeungling in Texas ever. We have the Shiner brewery though and that's all I really need!

Beer in Texas has like 3% alcohol in it. It is like drinking an odouls with red bull in it. You want real beer go to California, Oregon or Washington, the home of all things good for drinking. Plus Oregon has my favorite microbrew, Deschutes Brewery. Here in Cali where I am now, there is a brewery or was one called Coast Range. It was bought out and now called Farmhouse, the beer isn't as good. Ohh well. They have a porter though that is still the same called Madero Porter. So very good.

Um, no Texas has the good beer. I know this for a fact, because I used to party at Lake Texoma all the time and Oklahoma is one of the states with three-two beer. If you went on a beer run and came back with beer from the Oklahoma side of the border that was considered an ass kicking offense.

It's actually in PottsVILLE, PA, about 30 minutes from my house. :D
Pottstown is about an hour South of Pottsville.
