The Pats is more wishful thinking than anything, because I really don't want to have my Ravens flying to San Diego to face the Chargers. It was rough enough beating them here at home earlier this year. Granted, we have Brian Billick calling the plays now and the offense has gelled a bit, but I'd really like to se NE take out SD. They'll be much easier to beat.

I hate the Patriots with a white-hot fire than burns the pit of my stomach.

I hate Tom Brady, with an equivalent hate, I think at least in part because he looks like Matt Damon, who I hate as well, but mostly because I get tired of hearing sport commentators who sound like they're doing things I can't talk about on the boards while they talk about him.

Anyway...I hope the Chargers roll all over the Pats and Shawne Merriman stomps a mudhole in Tom Brady's face.

That is all.

bears v seahawks= Seahawks. Rex Grossman is too shaky and the Bears had the weakest schedule of any team this year. Seatle lost to them earlier this season, but I don't think they get beaten twice.

Pats v Chargers= Chargers. I think. But the Pats just know how to win. I will always hate them for beating my Eagles.

Colts v Ravens= Ravens. Post season Manning.

Saints v Eagles= EAGLES. Brian Dawkins screams GLORY whenever he really levels someone. Wasn't thrilled with the 65 yard Westbrook TD being called back, or the 47 yard pass interference call against Sheldon Brown where Burress stiff armed him, then took a fall. Some missed pass interference calls against the Giants. That game shouldn't have been that close.

I hear Merriman is up to date with his injections, and should be in a position to do just that.

I happen to think Brady is a relatively good QB, one of the better ones. It just seems to me, that because a bunch of fourth round picks, and a bunch of non-picked players happened to beat up on the Rams int he superbowl, would and does cause animosity, specially when they had the greatest show on turf, which well was pretty fraudulant claim.

As for the picks..

bears v seahawks= Seahawks
saints v eagles= Saints
Pats v Chargers= Chargers
Colts v Ravens= Colts

Rams fans are indeed strange. Not being one of them, I can agree with you on that.

Not as strange as Oakland fans, but still strange.

Bears v Seahawks: yeah, i like rex's agasint that secondary....i like hester agasint that special teams....the bears are as healthy as theyve been in 6-7 weeks on d.

Pats v Chargers: If the pats can slow down LT and rattle rivers. they still have to get some major help from mediocre recievers. all that becomes a bit easier with a guy like brady. on paper it looks bad for the pats but theres a reason why they play the games.

Colts v Ravens: That chiefs team was bad. this ravens team is just mean. The way the colts win is if the ravens cant get points and time possesion from offense. the ravens D is going to hurt the colts, but i dont think they can keep the colts out of the endzone all day. ravens run (a lot) to win. and I think they will.

Saints v Eagles: Dawkins is a beast. The eagles are the hottest team heading in. It should be a good game.

Sorry, when I hear "LT" these days I think about running backs and broken ankles, not linebackers and broken legs. His middle name is not Dainian, his initials are LT.

You can't jack someone else's nickname, especially one of the greatest linebackers of all time who completely redefined his position.

No. His full name is LaDainian Tomlinson. They had a big story about him on the NFL Network.

Depends on if you think it is a nickname or initials. Sure, everyone called Lawrence Taylor LT but I bet everyone calls LaDainian Tomlinson LT also... so there is no problem calling someone by their initials. This has been brought up in some news articles that people are raving mad about 'dishonoring' Lawrence Taylor by using his nickname on another person. I don't agree. It isn't like they are calling him LaDainian "Night Train" Tomlinson or LaDanian "The Refrigerator" Tomlinson... they are calling him by his initials.

When I hear LT I think of LaDanian Tomlinson, not Lawrence. Sorry.

Bears vs Seahawks: Bears need it, I think they want it, I think they'll get it.

Pats vs Chargers: I dislike the patriots, and as much as I dispise the Chargers since they are in my Broncos division, I think the Chargers will win.

Colts vs Ravens: I think this is going to be one of the best games. But I think the Ravens will take it in the end.

Saints vs Eagles: Sham... Eagles shouldn't be here. Saints will finally get on top.

Agreed. There can be only one LT, and unfortunately for us, the real LT missed Theismanns mouth when he was breaking QB parts.

Many of the Fantasy football sites refer to Mr. Tomlinson as LT2. He can have that, I'm good with it.

Let's face it, the NFC doesn't stand a chance and I don't care who it is. The Eagles are the worst team of the 4 remaining, though the Seahawks are close (though I'm picking them to beat the Bears).

Bears v Seahawks: Hawks
Colts v Ravens: Ravens
Chargers v Pats: Chargers
Eagles v Saints: Saints

Saints v Seahawks: Saints
Chargets v Ravens: Ravens

Ravens v Saints: Ravens

Actually by most statistical measures the Eagles are the BEST remaining team in the NFC and play most consistently. But yes, sadly all the AFC teams are better. I'm not PICKING them to beat the Saints, because that scares the bejesus out of me, but I know full well they can beat the Saints. They're a much more balanced team than they were 3 months ago, and that alone should prevent 9 minute drives resulting in the winning field goal- for the Saints that is. The eagles might do that.

I don't know if any of you read Football Outsiders, but I really like their breakdowns, and DVOA (Defense-adjusted value over average). Any of the more numbers-and-systems oriented of you for DR might enjoy them too.

Yes...yes, yes, yes! I absolutely feel the same way. This is a tough one, though. If the Pats win, then they play my Colts in Indianapolis. Makes me sick of thinking to actually root for Brady and Co., though.
