Unfortunately I missed this thread yesterday before the games, but yesterday went as I hoped so it doesn't really change anything.
Mine
Raven over Titans (woot!)
Cardinals over Panthers
Chargers over Steelers
Eagles over Giants
Ravens over Chargers
Cardinals over Eagles
Ravens over Eagles
Now, to be fair, I'd rather see Arizona go to the Superbowl, because by the Ghost of Football Past, they bloody well deserve to go at least once every eighty years. On the other hand, I had so much fun watching the Ravens crush the Eagles a few weeks ago, I wouldn't mind a replay of that. I just don't want to see us play the Giants. That makes me sadface. :(

Barney is going to rush the halftime show stage, with the teletubbies running interference. GI Joe and He-Man will be brought in for a rescue, flanked by their own forces. Shee-ra will have a wardrobe malfunction on the way out and the networks will subsequently ban cartoon characters from the halftime show as well.

As someone who grew up with the Cardinals, my dad buying season tickets for the family their first 3 years in town, I naturally became a fan of another team (Broncos). To say I'm in shock that they're a win away from playing in the Super Bowl would be an understatement.
Given that they are now hosting the NFC Championship game, I'm not even sure I'm actually still alive.

>>I'd say the same with Baltimore and the Colts, but forget it. I like our Ravens (stolen from the Browns).
I feel the same way about the Dodgers/Giants and the Mets (at times). But, Gulph, purple...yeech.
Teams shouldn't be allowed to take mascots/colors/records with them when they move. Actually, was that made a league rule for the Browns-Ravens move? I wonder if the Titans had to pay the Jets for the name.

THey didn't stink when they won a Super Bowl. That's more than the Cardinals can say.

You don't want me to go off on conspiracy tangents :(
Oh fine, I will anyway.
So. They had a stipulation in their contract that they had to win a Superbowl within 10 years of being moved here. Guess who MIRACULOUSLY won a Superbowl on year 10?
Grrgrgrgggg.

I was having this conversation with some fans of the Other beltway team (Washington Redskins), and I don't mind it. I guess maybe I was put off by it at first, but when you put a purple jersey on a crazy dude like Ray Lewis, all of a sudden the color seems to be just fine.

As far as I know, the only reason this wasn't the case with the Baltimore thing was because the Browns were staying as a franchise. Now, why they didn't just keep their team and we start a new one? Ya got me. That was before I really started following football. Either way, I agree with your proposal.

It was put in there so they could have that one scene in Castaway about Tennessee (another wayward moved team) losing the Super Bowl.

Actually, after it was finalized that the 'jerk' Modell was going to run off to the highest bidder with the team (baltimore at the time), the city of Cleveland sued him to retain the Browns name and associated logos for the future team the NFL promised them when the deal was approved. Quite frankly the fans of the Browns couldn't have been happier to rid themselves of that ownership. The frickin rub was the superbowl win.
Rehlyn, Browns Fan, still crazy after all these years

Ah, thanks for the elucidation. I don't know many places where you'll find Modell fans. I am glad Baltimore has a football team again, though. I could never really get into the Skins for some reason.
