I dread that moment you step from an altering session and thirty people whisper for you to show them your item. The RAISE verb works nice to show the tap of an item to the crowd. It would be convenient and sensible to have a DISPLAY verb that shows the tap and look of an item to the room.

A great idea, but it'd probably need some RT, to prevent spammy-abuse.

I think it'd be easier if someone RAISEd something, that anyone in the room could LOOK <person> ITEM for a certain duration and even appraise it for that same duration. That way no unnecessary messaging is spammed to individuals.

Excellent thoughts and ideas here. Hopefully a GM takes some time thinking about this. You can make it, so it it at least announces that someone is "Raising" something that can be viewed...with what Leilond has said thats it not spamming the description and stuff, otherwise people show it off. If you stil worried about spaming, then tap should have rt and there for...because that type of raising message shouldn't be really more than just a tap type of message, but obviously different so poeple know what it means.
