There is a piece of cloth that people used to wear to cover....sensitive areas of the lower body. Usually worn with plate armor, and even basic clothing. I think that this is the loincloth in game now but I'm not sure. Is there another name for it?
Not all of us follow a code. That much is evident.

Loincloth is probably the closest thing in-game, but it's not actually what you're thinking of. The loincloth is roughly one or two pieces of cloth (most are just one piece) that's held up, tied up, or otherwise fastened in such a way as to cover the genitals (and depending on the style, very little to nothing else). Some are a lot like modern underwear, some are basically loincloths with a "skirt" attached, and I believe one version is similar to a jockstrap (a belt-like garment with a pouch in front).
For a rough estimation of what a loincloth looks like, take a gander at modern underwear (all of it, from loosest boxer shorts to the tiniest thongs and adult-themed articles). Cultural versions of the loincloth include:
dhoti -- a hindu loincloth worn by Mohandas Ghandi
chawat (cawat) -- Malayo-Polynesian loincloth
sirat -- see chawat
bah -- see chawat
bahag -- see chawat
maro -- see chawat
malo -- see chawat
xai -- southern African Bushman loincloth
fundoshi -- traditional Japanese thong (ie, the underwear-thing you see on Sumo, which is separate from the mawashi (the belt-thing))
lungi -- (sub-)tropical continental Asian loincloth
kalarippayattu loincloth -- boxer shorts-like garment used in martial art of the same name (as practiced in Kerala and Tamil Nadu)
perizoma -- Indo-European (Greek, Roman, Scandinavian)
breechcloth -- loincloth version found with the Ice Man (Oetzi), also used in tropical colonies for male black slaves as well as Allied POWs during WW2
The Egyptians had a sort of skirt called a Schekti, but that went over the loincloth in similar fashion to a skirt, kilt, or sarong. Use of the loincloth was a sign of wealth and privelege.
J'Lo, no that other one
