More information on changes that have been made to the justice system for Shard:
Some special cases for fines.
- Elotheans
For IC historical reasons, the Outcasts have no love at all for Elotheans. Members of this race shouldn't be surprised if this is reflected in their fines.
- People who are currently banished
If you're already banished and you come back in the city and get arrested for a crime, they'll be especially unhappy to see you. Your fines will accordingly be quite a bit higher.
- Thieves
Due to certain... arrangements, the Thief Guild has expanded its ability to reduce the fines assigned to its members. However, due to the need to carefully protect this relationship, the guild will only use its influence to protect members who are in good standing. Precisely what's considered to be good standing varies depending on the severity of the crime (ie they're more likely to want to distance themselves from a murderer than from a hooligan).
Everything is, of course, being monitored and open to be modified where it appears there's a need.
Changes are live in Prime. They'll go live in Plat and TF later on (at the same time the checkpoints appear and the guards change).
