There are tons of cool instruments in DR, but it's hard to justify not using zills because they're metal and worn.
I'd love to have the ability to make any instrument worn, so that I can do other things with my hands while playing if needed. Or so that I just don't have to type 'get/put' a thousand times a day.
It would also be spiffy if we could get some type of rosin or wax to apply to wooden instruments so that they become weather proof.

Weatherproofing all instruments would go a long way toward diversifying use.
Additionally, I would love to be able to play wind or stringed instruments without being hindered by armor.

I could see Crafting handling this, as well. Use engineering to create an instrument, then enchanting to create an 'enchanted reed of weather-proofing +1' for your clarinet. Alchemy to create a wax you can use to weatherproof for x anlas. Et cetera.
