More I think about it,the more barbarians should be able to utilize spirit like effects using thier inner fire(using the mind/body/spirit philosphy we picked up a while ago).
This meditation would allow us to sit and imbue a weapon with the ability to damage incorporeal creatures, without the bonus to damage like a bless.Maybe the duration could vary with meditation length and inner fire burn.Or,instead of burning inner fire for the initial meditation, one the weapon is "attuned" each strike on an incorporeal critter would drain a small ammount of inner fire.

I really like this concept. It seems to be a strong idea, yet not terribly unbalancing. A few things I could see about this...
1) Only barbarians could use a spirit weapon (you can't imbue a weapon and give it to a war mage)
2) I like the concept of a larger initial IF burn for a preset number of strikes better than the idea of burning IF with each strike. The latter method would lower our ability to dance and berserk.

Keep in mind,im not proposing we have the ability to bless weapons(which is not time consuming on the part of the cleric, nor expensive, and also provides a bonus to damage vs all undead, not just incorporeal),but simply the ability for a single attuned weapon(which could be time consuming to accomplish) to damage an incorporeal creature without magical assistance.

My initial reaction is to say, "If we had more incorporeal beings than undead, something like this would be much more likely. As things stand now, I don't see it happening."
I'll talk to the Creature and Undead people to see what they think though.

<<I like this one. We're not going to have to throw out Sikori after all, guys.
Of course not, with the office Skori has I would not want to try. If you haven't seen it, you might want to. It real close to reavers on the NTR if you don't know where.

What's mine is mine, what's yours is mine, what's not bolted down is mine, if it can be pried down up it isn't bolted down.

>Maybe the penalty for this meditation could be you have a decrease in effectiveness against other critters? That would more then offset the boost we'd get to the specific critter we fight.
Did you mean to reply to your other thread about meditations on a single critter to gain a bonus against em?If not...
With the spirit weapon I would think the inner fire drain would be more than enough to offset the ability to hit incorporeals because it could compromise our ability to dance or berserk.
