I had an idea a few weeks back regarding something that I was hoping could work with a Barbarian as he got more skill in X. This idea was mainly for the perception skill. The Barbarian would need to meditate around the surrounding area and be able to forsee presence(s) within hiding at 200 ranks of perception. At 300 ranks of perception, they would get the names of people within hiding. At 400 ranks of perception, the Barbarian would get the names of people within hiding and the surrounding area (it would mention if they are not in the room you are in). At 500 ranks of perception, the Barbarian would get the names of people in hiding for an even greater distance and it would mention how far away they were.
Rough Draft of the messaging:
You clear your mind of all thoughts and emotions as your senses rise to a heightened level. You can clearly feel of what is lurking within the shadows.
It's not the same as perception (It does not boost your perception at all, that's what eagle dance will do. It does not increase your agility to see hiders slip into a hiding spot, that's what panther dance does - it's a different thing)because you wouldn't be able to point them out of hiding without enough skill in perception for your character. Very akin to perceive health for empaths, yet still some difference and differences in terms of the skillchecks applied. Likewise, akin to the cleric spell revelation, but not working off different skillchecks (because Barbarians will not be using PM. Heh). This is also akin to locate, yet can only be meditated on the room the Barbarian is in (or affecting the surrounding areas around him depending on his perception - the meditation grows as the skill does, that's the point.)
Not sure what the Barbarian Team has in store for the balancing affect of meditations, but it would use the same opposing effect per usage of this meditation.
1. It will be beneficial to the Barbarians, yet still requiring them to train a skill for it to work. A warrior who is aware of the presence of his enemy is a more effective combatant.
2. This should not be stepping on any toes of other guilds, because this meditation would differ slightly from other guild's spells/abilities.
3. I don't think this will be too difficult to code, once the Barbarian Team has its hands already working with meditations in general as a project.

I hate to say this, but I see Meditations as sort of the Barbarian version of Aether Pathways that Warmies are getting.
My vision is that we are going to be producing a desired effect per meditation for X cost.
Am I wrong about this?

No idea which route the Barb Team wants to take. Although, the path of desired effect per meditation for X cost is something I was counting on for any meditation.
Along the lines of still using mediation on presence, the Barbarian can hold it for X length of time compared to his/her Y concentration.
Just an idea to consider.
