This may not go over real well with some people but ah well.

How about a non-battle meditiation that speeds up the learning process.

Basically your not doing anything else but meditating on a flame and the meditation allows you to absorb you experience faster. You couldn't do this while doing anything else, basically your just sitting focusing and assimilating what you've learned after a long hunt.

Sounds like what a mediation is suppose to do anyway.

Hmm...I like...perhaps something like this?

You focus your thoughts on the flame, relaxing your body and opening your mind.

Perhaps a hit to evasion as a down side?

Actually I was thinking for this meditation to work you wouldn't be doing anything but the mediation. IE sitting on the ground with a flame and not doing anything, the sole purpose is to clear your head faster so you could go back to the hunt faster.

Anything other than meditating would break your concentration and of course end the meditation.

Along the same lines how about a meditation to speed up recovery of our spirit after death, or fatigue after berserk.

These seem to be what meditations should do, rather aiding in the actual battle itself.

At least we're talking about meditations. I agree that mediations can be seen as a way to clear your mind. But that's what normal mediations are. I was hoping to see a more barbarian type meditation that does a few things I've listed above in previous posts in this folder. Things that would aid us in battle with extra control over our mind, body, and spirit. In my opinion, meditations are a great ability for a few reasons:

1. We've tapped a bit into roars/berserks/dances. They'll be tweaked from time to time to improve a few things with them, remove a few things with them to keep in line with balancing aspects. The meditation ability is very untapped, so we have a lot to work with this which is a great thing. It's great because we can change and alter it onto what we believe meditations should act like.

2. It should be another tool to aid all barbarians who can understand the meditation to improve their combat. We are a combat guild, we are mostly melee fighters. Every ability we have should not be taken for granted.

We have the greatest group of GMs working with us endlessly on things like this. I don't wanna say we're unstoppable, but if you gather a group of skilled barbarians on the the battlefield and they're out to hunt. Except the creature to experience plenty of pain.

Just my 10,000 plat thought.
