Actually the way it was set-up it was hard to do both effectively so you trained your stats one way or the other.

Eat your cake and have it too.

If you have your cake, then you can eat it...

If you eat it, you can't have it.

You must have your cake before you eat it, else it wouldnt be yours to eat.

I've never had an issue with picking a path, and i've been here quite a long time. Granted i was never huge at any point of time (including now).

You can and always have been able to do both "effectively" train to do one better than the other, sure bet. That does not make the other, ineffective.

Um actually my berserks weren't as effective hence I didn't use them much. Sadly now I've moved back down the critter to backtrain trader style.

You can certainly have your cake and eat it, too.

As Navak pointed out, however, you cannot eat your cake and still have it.

That old adage has been incorrectly used for a long long time.

Yeah because once you eat it, you no longer have a cake, but anyways....

<<Choosing a path, berserks/dances>>

I don't think there should be penalties by the way you train stats, only boosts. Specially since I/most don't know what the highest dance is compared to the highest berserk. How are you supposed to know what path you would prefer to take before you know where the path takes you? (because it takes 5-10 years to get there depending on your play style)

Sure you can research it, but that doesn't make up for the inability to actually test each yourself in your own play style.

Also, what happens when you get 99 in all stats except 80 in discipline? (not that I personally will ever get there, but someone probably will eventually) Do you train your discipline to 99 lowering your berserk power?

Granted know one knows what the actual calcs are or how much discipline or whatever mental hurts berserks because no one gives a definitive answer on the subject. Not really fair in my book.
