Okay, so Mingold and I decide to go play in cave trolls and grab some boxes. We get down there and we both know hey, we can't see, so what? I fire up Eye. Tada, I can see! But wait, what's this? Mingold can't? So, my complaint is, why does Eye not help the group see? I mean, she couldn't see in cave trolls even with a lamp! I love how Eye does this but I wanna voice a grip that it won't help the group too.

It is definitelly supposed to help others if I'm not going crazy. Perhaps you need to a) sing a bit higher or b) sing that Enchante loudly?

I'm pretty sure I brought this up a long time ago while hunting Dusk Ogre's with Niv and I was told its either a bug or ment to be but either way the song does not help the other person. No perception boost and it doesnt light up dark rooms for them....Disclaimer=If I recall correctly

Eye of Kertigen
The Eyes of Kertigen shall watch over you and your coin as you use this enchante, which heightens your skills of perception by a marked degree. Should you gain enough proficiency with the Eye, you may achieve the ability to sense the presence those who are hidden and invisible, and even knock those who are not in your group out of their concealment. It is rare the Bard that has seen this last, however, for it requires great skill and can be quite taxing to maintain. Requirements: Sanctuary, Misdirection.
Read the spell desc. As I always pictured it the 'Eye' was within your mind. I have certainly never read anything to suggest that a huge glowing eyeball is floating around the room that would act as a light source like when Clerics self-cast Divine Radiance, which literally makes them glow and lights up the whole room for everyone.
Messanger: That Thessalonian you're fighting, he's the biggest man I've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight him.

When you bump up the mana level to get the lightsource effect you start glowing. That always suggested to me that you were creating a lightsource, not that you had night vision. So it sounded more like a mantle of flame or divine radiance than a beseech the dark to sing or khri sight. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly.

I always thought it was a problem with the area, rather than with the eye. I`m almost certain it helps the group see in the area under sandsprites and in the steam caves on Aesry. It never seems to work in Ratha sewers or in the ogre tunnels west of Riverhaven. I`ve not been to any of those areas for a while, maybe something has changed?

If I remember correctly, there are areas where the Eye just doesn't work as a group light source (which is what others here are saying).
Gave Dart a yell, he said he'll need to take a peek.

Oh thank ya! The problem was in Cave trolls which weirdly, even a torche or lamp wouldn't allow for assessment of the battle situation, only my Eye and I was the only one who could see!
