Dart, or anyone,
Could you please, please add a some range to Eillie's cry. I mean 10 bards in guild cant hear me in Leucs? Thats a bit weak. Thats my rant for the day so far.

It may take a little more than just adding a few km to the range...I think there's something else that plays into where it is heard.
I'll have to play around with it a bit and see, and then talk to the Dartman to see how adjustable it is.
Thanks for bringing it up (though I'm sorry to hear of your unfortunate demise. Dern leucs)!

The Cry doesn't exactly work on a "radius of hearing" type of thing (it's not done on a distance-from-singer basis), but on something else location-related. So sometimes you may find yourself near the edge of the range, so to speak, and it won't make real sense that people in XYZ location can't hear you.
Making it based on the distance from the singer can be looked into, but it may be a while, and it may be too resource-intensive to end up doing.
Hope that makes sense (the explanation, I mean)?

Thats a shame. The song has so much potential and yet if no one in your area can hear it because of town borders it makes it just a fluff song that only the singer can enjoy. I know its wonky in a lot of areas because of the that.
Thanks for checking into it though.

Couldnt the J-gweth range limitor be plugged into Eillies Cry? I dont know coding, but that would seem a simple fix?

Also, could we possibly be able to stop singing the Cry? Sometimes I get help shortly after I start it up by a random passerby and feel bad when the Cry still keeps going and potential bards are heading to help me when they don't really need to be.

1. Linking it to gweth ranges
It's based on something rather similar. I'll run it past Dart and see what he says (since he knows the mechanics of the enchante).
2. Stop singing it when you get help
Seems that what would actually be needed is more a way of issuing an "got someone, thanks" rather than just stopping the song (b/c someone could be on the way just from the first pulse of the song). Will run it past you-know-whom.

Heck, at increased skill, could we get the option for it to be heard by non bards?

1. Gweth range use - maybe. He'll have to take a look.
2. Stop sing/help has come type of message - maybe. He'll have to take a look. Not sure.
3. Non-bards hearing - doubtful (though I know better than to say never ;) ) - the feel of the Cry is that it operates off of the Bardic spirit, which just seems to need another Bard to sense it. Perhaaaaaaaaaaaps a case could be made for a Cleric, but I still really doubt it. I won't say never, though!
4. Variant for the assisting bard - He'll need to take a look.
