Some way to tie into the gweth system at the cost of spirit energy.

Something like this.

DEAD> Cry

Everyone on the J range of gweths sees a vision of where you fell. Your spirit is now at 95%. The next time you use it will take 10%, 20% next, 30% after that, further uses results in an autodepart.

I like the idea, but it seems too powerful, and I don't want ECRY to cost too many more spell slots, or any more at all really. How about if either the caster or the target dies, the other receives a vision of the room in which they fell.

I don't actually think the 'vision of the dead' aspect of this spell has a lot of utility. Someone will either get a Moonie to locate you when you fall because friendship magic, or no one cares and you're on your own irrespective of visions sent.

That's some tough love. I'm getting a vision of so and so again. Poor bard.... so, how is everyone?

Good points though. I agree that this probably isn't worth worrying about. In fact, I'd guess we only have the locate for nostalgia purposes.

I'm just fine with ECRY being a 1 slot performance booster with some marginal death utility and don't feel that it needs to change.

Right now it's a great first spell to get, and if it had to go to two slots that would be a shame.
