Okay, I'd really really really love a crystal or clay or something of that kind of material stringed instrument. It would be ever so helpful. Please?

Oh yes! See, I'm doing this outfit all made of crystals and gemstones, kind of like a walking bejeweled jewelry box. I simply MUST have a matching stringed instrument to go with it!

I think the rain would still mess up your strings, but I've never taken a walk in the rain with a stringed instrument so I don't really know how that works. At the very least it'd be awfully hard to play.
But on a slight tangent, crystal instruments sound pretty. How about a singing bowl? Can we have those?

Well, I have a whiskey jug that does just fine in the rain, a crystal flute as well. My stamping stick just shakes that rain right into the beat of the song I play. There is only one instrument I can't play in the rain and that would be something with strings. It's a sad sad day.

I can certainly talk to Dart and see, though I have the same feeling as was already mentioned earlier - that the strings themselves would be vulnerable to the weather.
I'll see what he says, though, as far as having one that would be a little more weather-resistant.
