I have a circle 2 cleric that cannot advance. When I ask the guildleader he says I have an outstanding task that I must finish to advance. I asked the guildleader about tasks and he says I don't have one. Through research I discovered the Tamsine quest and did it but nothing happened. I did an assist and the GameHost thought that perhaps I did not have enough devotion to complete the quest. I spent the rest of the night raising my devotion (doing the quest at each new level) until I was at the highest level of devotion. The quest will still not complete and I cannot advance. I assisted again tonight and after performing the quest again for the GameHost (I have invested a small fortune in sirese flowers!) he put me in the referral queue and suggested I post here. Anyone else had a problem with the Tamsine quest? How did you overcome it?

I have been away from the realms a long time and just recently returned. This character is from a long time ago even though she is only circle 2. My husband has a circle 2 cleric and his character cannot advance either - he created his character about the same time as mine. So both our characters are stuck. Any suggestions are welcome!

I did the quest not to long ago with no problem. The quest just isn't advancing? Were you able to complete the few steps required? I found the one hurtle I had was that the parser was looking for items on myself before items in the room when trying to offer the flower. So make sure you don't have any matching items on your person, or have them in closed containers. If post a character name, I'm sure people would be happy to find you and offer their help.

A vague memory of mine says that it might be wrong syntax. I have a fuzzy memory of there being an issue with PRAY/OFFER and one working and one not.

I tried to do the quest as I remembered long ago, which is what was stated on DRSecrets. When I ccompleted my part of the quest, I received the messaging "You offer your flower to the gods in homage of their greatness," but nothing happened after that.

So I think the quest isn't moving onto the next part of the quest where you're transported to Tamsine's House.

PS I noticed the thread about MF not working either. I wonder if any other cleric quests may have broken with the 3.1 changes. I am glad I never have to do Kertigen's quest ever again. that one never seems to work.

I'd check COMMUNE HELP to see if you you are able to commune to Tamsine, if so the quest worked fine and it might be something else?

If not, look for Padhg outside the empath guild and he'll be happy to try to help.

I checked Commune help and there are no deities listed. I have tried the quest several more times and still nothing. While perusing the boards I have seen you can ask Esuin for a quest but when I ask Esuin for a quest nothing happens, I get no response whatsoever. Don't know if you only get a response when there is a quest available for your circle (which I really should have one since this has to be completed before I can advance) or if he responds even if you don't have a quest available. This is very frustrating. I have been playing this character off and on for the last few days waiting for a GM but nothing so far. I have other characters I prefer to play at this point because I can at least do something with them rather than sit in an endless holding pattern.

He can gain skills... but can't circle until the quest completes so he only has at most two spells to train with. It's kind of a crappy situation.

<<Nik, your issue is different. Since you have a character above circle 3, you should be on the Eluned quest right now, not the Tamsine quest so the steps for Tamsine won't work at the moment. People having to redo the quests above their circle have to work backwards through the chain.
