I don't remember this stone being here before.

Confirm/Deny?

[An Ancient Tree, Hodierna's Solace]
More a platform than a room, the leafy crown of the tree spreads overhead, creating a natural canopy of green that insulates the chamber from the wind and elements. All around you are tiny niches in the side of the tree that look as if they were sculpted out of the living wood. Candles, flowers, and tiny trinkets fill them, token memories for those who will not be forgotten. A circular staircase -- also sculpted out of the tree -- leads back down, winding so far that you cannot see the bottom. You also see a glossy obsidian symbol and a small carved stone.
Also here: XXXXXX.
Obvious exits: none.

The silver unicorn shakes its mane and then turns and leaps down from the platform, vanishing in midair! (possible ambient messaging)

>l symb
The strange obsidian symbol depicts a three-clawed hand turned upward to the sky. Flecks of a reddish mineral are trapped within the smooth black glass, giving it a crimson flare when light strikes it.

No verbs that I noticed, including perceive and recall as a Bard.

>l stone
The stone is a soft square of granite that slopes at the top to better display the words on the surface. Although the sides have become rounded, the carefully chiseled letters show no sign of wearing away.
There appears to be something written on it.
>read stone
A small carved stone reads:
For those who are lost, but never forgotten.

(The stone has been there I'm pretty sure)

It's been there for several years. Archrost put it there when he bound Hodierna's avatar and weakened her.

North of Leth, just south of the ferry, yes.

Karzen (sp?) broke the power of the symbol. But the stone itself still remains.
