I picked up this and Heavenly Fires after reading people claiming it was awesomesauce, but have been so far pretty disapointed. I feel like it doesn't hit terribly hard, and a 40 mana cast seems to only produce 2-3 bolts. I find FoU to be a much better trainer, insofar as hitting more targets (obviously) and hitting them harder, and FF to do better single target damage.

Even with Auspice up keeping spirit high, I don't seem to get AE to do much. My personal cap is 56...

FoU's definitely better for training -- you need to outclass the mob by a bit more to have the full effect of AE/Fires, in my experience. It does hit like a truck though (I can cast it at 85-90ish), and if you use a disabler it seems pretty easy to get 2 kills out of one cast.
