Name: Anguish of the Spiral
Description: Drawing on the energies of the Red Spiral from within the Spiritual Plane, a Cleric is able to afflict a living soul with the essence of the spectral flames that consume the damned souls there. The result is intense agony in the victim, which often incapacitates them.
Mechanics: A SvSp stunner that can put things unconscious at higher successes. I also think it should be more effective on things that actually have, you know, a soul (i.e. the living).
Before anyone says "but we already have a stunner (PS)!" Trust me when I say (as the proud owner of both MD and Dazzle) having disablers of this nature that spread across different stat contests is immensely useful, plus this would do something a little different. Also, screaming in pain. Lots and lots of screaming.

For the spell messaging potential alone I'd support this idea. Having some nice potential functionality makes it a no-brainer for me. Good idea.

I have no problem at all with additional stun spells, and one of the two new spells might well be a stunning spell. I would like it to do something additional besides stun, or have it be a room wide stunner. Just something more different than PS than just the contest.

All of the mage (read: magic primary) guilds have established history of mucking with other planes. Just because Moonies are arguably more well-developed at this point doesn't mean the other guilds can't flesh out.
Arguably, the warmies have a bigger stake in the planar pie at this point than moonies, since they have dibs on six versus one or two.

I think that having the target scream should become a thematic component of Cleric spells in general.
