If you're talking about the one near the Dragon's Shrine, it is indeed possible to get favors there: I checked while I was playing in a test instance of DR once.
I don't have a description logged, but it is pretty creepy.

I think, right before the neutral god shrines in the Crossing temple (i.e. the room before) are two altars, one for each light and dark aspect of the god. Kythryn's map of the Temple seems to explain it a little better than Ranik's.
