i think it would be a good idea to put this in the in-game news as well.
This is the most recent in-game news item for clerics. Note the date.

Dateline 3/19/2007: CLERICS' GUILD NEWS
Let it be known that on this 193rd day, 386 years after the Victory of Lanival the Redeemer the Clerics Guild will be accepting applications for the following positions within the guild.

Those interested can join the list located in the Crossing Guild Hangout. One Messenger and Scribe will be assigned to the Crossing Guild and the other messenger and scribe will be assigned to a guildhall yet to be decided upon.

Dateline 7/24/2009: RESURRECTION UPDATES
Greetings.
In light of the removal of perma-death from DragonRealms, it is no longer possible to resurrect players who are favorless. As such, it's more important than ever to seek favor with your god or goddess to protect yourself in the case of death.
The Fallen will receive this update when the new DEPART mechanics are released there.
We've got a post in the GM announcements, a news item and it even appears on the Front Page. Why are we still complaining about this?
People should get a link to the website every time they prepare Resurrection.
It's only fair.

by having it in category 2 it sort of just gets hidden with the rest of the stuff in there. if they had it in category 3 under "clerics" at least people would look under their own guild when something new pops up.

Some people do raises in less than 5 minutes. It should be every minute.

I always just type 'news next' when I see there's new news. Category doesn't really matter.
But perhaps there should be an announcement in the other category that people need to be aware of all categories as well as the news next command.
