When I cast the flush poison spell without any poison in my system it's not creating the reactive ward that adaptive curing is supposed to unlock. CD works fine.

You gesture.
A sudden wave of heat washes over you as your spell attempts to flush poison from your body but finds no toxins.

You reach out with your senses and see pulsating (10/21) streams of bright blue and white Life mana flowing through the area.
Letting your senses extend further, you feel there is moderately less mana to the west, incredibly less mana to the south, and somewhat less mana to the east.
You sense the Gift of Life spell upon you, which will last for about five roisaen.
You sense the Refresh spell upon you, which will last for about ten roisaen.
You sense the Cure Disease spell upon you, which will last for about four roisaen.
You sense the Blood Staunching spell upon you, which will last for about fourteen roisaen.
Roundtime: 7 sec.

How much mana did you put into the spell?

FP only lingers if the cast was fairly potent. Looking at the GL spiels, I see that this isn't really well communicated at all. At this point the way things work is so often interpreted to be a bug that I'm thinking about just letting not-that-potent casts linger.

There really isn't any reason not to let not-that-potent casts linger -- when converting the spells for 3.0, this was how it already worked (without the ADC metaspell, of course) so we just converted the spells that way. I will mull.

In the meantime, apologies if that was not your issue!

23 was my limit. I'm guessing this was the issue then.

Spell description from discern says:
"A practitioner with knowledge of the Adaptive Curing technique may also cast the spell as a reactive ward against poison, rather than waiting to perform a curing afterward. Further, an Empath with such knowledge who casts the spell while poisoned may find that a strongly-cast pattern will linger protectively if it succeeds in eliminating toxins with power to spare."

I took that to mean you could cast it as a ward regardless of mana put in if you had no poison on you but if you were poisoned and had enough power left in your cast after flushing the poison it would also apply the ward.

It's not a huge issue for me either way since the warding function has a pretty narrow niche. I just thought it was a bug especially since a Cure Disease cast at minimum mana applied the ward effect. It seemed logical that the two spells would function similarly with the adaptive curing metaspell.
