These were released during my 2+ year absence from DR and I was hoping someone could fill me in a little. My understand is this is a new way to learn first aid. My questions would be 1) where do I find such charts 2) is there a list somewhere that shows which charts teach best at different levels and 3) do these have a limited number of uses and any prereqs for using them? If it makes a difference, I'm not an empath, I'm a ranger.
Thanks in advance for your help!

>1) where do I find such charts
As your not an Empath, from an Empath. Near Crossing it'd be easier.
>2) is there a list somewhere that shows which charts teach best at different levels
Not sure, but the price is a good estimate of their progression. The racial charts seem to cover a wide span.
>3) do these have a limited number of uses and any prereqs for using them?
Not limited use, and the only prereq is the scholarship to be able to read them. As a Ranger, be prepared for your Scholarship to lock a lot faster than your First Aid.

<<My questions would be 1) where do I find such charts 2) is there a list somewhere that shows which charts teach best at different levels and 3) do these have a limited number of uses and any prereqs for using them?>>
1) You will find the charts and compendiums for storing the charts, at the empath shop located in Willow Walk which is one north of the Willow Walk fountain center. (To get to Willow Walk center, from the front of empath guild, go west, north, go gate, east, northeast.) NOTE: Non-empaths cannot enter the empath shop. You will need to find an empath whom you can trust to go in and shop for you. Or a High level thief can get in but I do not know how high.
2) All race charts teach at same or very similar level and they are priced on a lower-end spectrum. The creature charts teach best for folks at the higher end skill levels. What these learning levels are, I don't know. But ALOT of people (majority) learn very very well from just the race charts. Compendiums are under a plat and all they do is house the charts you buy to put in them, nothing else. Once placed inside a compendium, it is permanent (cannot remove). A compendium can hold up to 10 charts. I believe non-empaths learn firstaid and scholarship from charts while empaths learn FA, Scholar and Empathy. The learning is 3 or 4 times what spellbooks can do.
3) Unlimited number of uses to study. They are not damageable by weather unlike the spellbooks. Prereqs is simply that you have learned enough scholarship to begin with to truly reap the benefits of studying the anatomy charts. No, I do not know how much scholarship one would need to have. If you get the message: "With a sudden moment of clarity, the information on the chart suddenly makes sense to you." then you have successfully studied the chart for its full learning potential. You should also get a shorter roundtime somewhere around 10 secs. Otherwise, if you get a different message and a longer roundtime, you will still learn from it but only at a (smaller) portion of learning. Some folks study it about 2 or 3 times before finally getting the clarity messaging. Learning from charts is set on a timer too. I think roughly about 20-30 minutes before being able to study them again. I suggest buying only one of the race charts and studying it to see how well you study from it and can decide from there if you want to purchase more race charts or not.
I provided a quick copy and paste of the various charts available in the shop and the current cost in copper kronars.
On the hooks you see a Snow Goblin anatomy chart (15,000), a Peccary anatomy chart (28,750), a Dwarven anatomy chart (12,500), a Silver Leucro anatomy chart (5,000), a Prydaen anatomy chart (12,500), a Lanky Grey Lach anatomy chart (50,000), a Gnome anatomy chart (12,500), a Kaldar anatomy chart (12,500), a Gor'Tog anatomy chart (12,500), a S'Kra Mur anatomy chart (12,500), a Halfling anatomy chart (12,500), an Elothean anatomy chart (12,500), an Elven anatomy chart (12,500), a Human anatomy chart (12,500), a Gidii anatomy chart (35,000), a Rakash anatomy chart (12,500), a River Caiman anatomy chart (32,500) and a Rock Troll anatomy chart (22,500).
Good luck-

Charts don't wear out and they don't stop teaching, ever. That said, there's a fixed range for learning for each chart and when you emerge from this range you will never be able to move the skills off learning with that particular chart (on the other hand, there's nothing else intended for, say, the 100-150 rank range that still teaches anything at 1500 ranks).

Pretty sure our intrepid GM's said that this might be coded in at some future point. But at present, it's correct.
