A silly question here: does dying end the mushroom disease? I... sorta touched one and there's apparently no Empaths about on Ratha.

The AMA says you're stupid, not sick. Wait, you were talking emulators, weren't you?

no, I was talking the kind of video game addiction where you get up in the middle of the night and interrupt your sleep because you want to "just change the skill you're training" or "just pick up this one thing..."

emulators hardly count for games anymore anyway. It's more like an old movie, only old folks play them... that being said... I'm old

I'm having horrible flashbacks of Earthbound for the Super Nintendo -- getting mushroom disease and having to deal with the random directional shifts. Hopefully it's not like that.

The shroomed effect in Earthbound didn't randomly shift directions, it actually rotates the control pad counterclockwise (iirc). So if you turn the controller onto whichever side each time it shifts, you can keep going straight and everything.

You can sell the shrooms to healers for good money too. I <3 shrooms.

Earthbound was definitely one of my top 10 games on SNES. I almost cried when they terminated plans for Earthbound 64.

EB64 would have sucked anyway. Mother 3 is much better. :)

Just waiting for the fansub to finish...gawd.
