p.s. Recent summer reads...

*HP and the Half Blood Prince -- you know how it goes
*Tiger -- Very cool. First in a series. Martial arts action, but it was actually a story that a girl who's not into martial arts could like. The protagonist is very likable. There are funny parts, dramatic parts, all sorts of parts all mixed in...which makes a great book.
*Brother Wolf -- first in a trilogy. About a boy, the last of his clan, who has to fight a magical evil.... and he has a wolf companion. : )
*Shopaholic and Sister -- Oh my ghadd! The book made me have an epithany: I too am a shopaholic. (And a British girl at heart...who knew?!) Plus, it's one of those very funny British girl humor type books... I love those (But Bridget Jones will never be topped). By Sophie Kinsella (same author of Can You Keep a Secret...mentioned it a few months back)

My current read: Pictures of Hollis Woods. I haven't actually read any of it yet. But I've brought it from California, to Orlando and back home where it now sits on my bedstand, so that counts as currently reading ; )

I just finished a re-reading of The Thorn Birds, which I liked a lot more this time around (read it the first time about 15 years ago). I'm now about 3/4 through HP and the HBP, and since it's too durned big to take with me to work, I've just started re-reading The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel. I've finally managed to unearth all five books in the series from my collection and have them set aside, so I can now read the whole series in one go.

Since I typically have at least 2 books going simultaneously, I have The Pelican Brief by John Grisham waiting in the wings for when I finish HP.
