Just a head's up that I'll be offline and heading out of town beginning this coming Thursday. I should be back by Monday, but am on call for jury duty all of next week, so my online time may be sporadic depending on that outcome.

Try not to implode, explode, or plode at all while I'm gone, mmkay?

Always with the unreasonable requests.

Have fun with jury duty. ::snicker::

I just wanna be able to tell the judge that my daddy worked for San Quentin. With my luck, though, that'll keep me ON the jury rather than take me off of it.

Heh, they tried to get me for jury duty once. I begged too much debt and I absolutely HAD to work. Of course that was true...about ah...8,000 in the hole after my wonderous "I'm going to be an idiot and drive around without a license" bit. Learned a lesson from that.

Best way to deal with jury duty...

"I'd be HAPPY to be on this jury. I want to do my part to put this scumbag away. After all, he wouldn't have gotten arrested if he didn't do something wrong, am I right?"

That'll net you a "Thanks for your time, you can step down."

I always used the, "Yes, I think my punishment for having had my car stolen was more than fair. Afterall, it was my fault the thief left it for three days to be towed away and didn't notify me so I could pick it up before I owed hundreds of dollars in storage and towing fees."
