Its been awhile since I was around, and while I remember reading something about death changing...how it would be possible to save someone who (previously) ought to have died, I don't remember reading anything about this. Perhaps it was covered, but if someone could take a moment and explain I'd appreciate it.

What happened. Unconcious person being dragged through by obviously distraught friend. I look at her, notice an internal and external bleeder, I tend the external, ask if she is ok...friend says no, I touch, notice she is at 50 vitality and tenous hold on life, I take the bleeders, both internal and external. Wait a minute (They were not friendly ones) check vitality again...now its at 65. Is this normal? Do I need to fully heal someone who is on the brink of death in order to save them?

No, but you definitely need to take their vitality completely. When you go into this near death thing it's similar to how barb berserks used to work, you essentially borrow vitality from yourself to prevent a real death. It doesn't seem to have a huge lump sum repayment like the old berserk, it just trickles back out along with a big fatigue cost. So if you're able, start taking the vitality along with the bleeders and keep taking their vitality until they're awake. I've never lost one this way.

Ah, so it was less to do with healing and more with vitality? If I hadn't touched their vitality would it have eventually come up? What with my healing their bleeders? What I'm actually asking, is what I saw, where the vitality appeared to continue to drop, after healing, (bleeders only) normal?

definitly a vitality thing...

case in point, when healing up in theren, i was taking a bit too much on, helping someone with thier vitality from a few massive bleeders, plus my own...

i cast bs, then i prompty start dying from the pulse hitting for my vitality transfer. I was lucky I got the BS spell off, or those 3 massive bleeders would have killed me. Dying kills my link to patient, I stop transferring vitality, and mine starts to come back. I wake up 10 minutes later, BS spell still in effect(whew)...

It really scared the people at the picnic table with me, bwahahahaha
