Dear Guild Members,

I was present when our own Kaith Partani Edenlaen spoke with the Guild Leader Dagreth of Haven, even still as Grishnok was beheading or "punishing" as he calls it, people in the streets.

Edenlaen, whom many of you have known as a heroine to our Guild during the Sorrow Wars, has spoken to Guild Leaders near and far about this incident. Master Empath Shaunn asked for her help, and he did get it.

The only Guild Leader who was not present to agree to this was Alris Burdlefoot, who was in travel at the time.

The Guild Leaders feel that we need to do the utmost to protect ourselves and each other.

Not only has there been abductions of Guild attendants, as many of you DO know, but abductions of common people. If there have been decent, hardworking people gone missing that have been noticed, we can't possibly surmise how many of the poorer folk have been taken that have gone unnoticed.

Then there is the matter that Grishnok is keeping the heads of those he beheads. We do not have any idea what use he might have for them, or even worse...his BOSS might have use for them.

In order to protect ourselves, and not to give Grishnok more heads, the Guild Leaders entreat us to follow Grishnok's demand to stay within city walls.

I do know that for many of you, this goes against the grain. We are a Guild of independents, often rejecting what ANY one tells us just to be contrary. Often the best way to get an Empath to DO something, is to tell them NOT to do it.

But this is not just about you. There are other lives on the line. When Grishnok's buttons have gotten pushed, he has sent invasions upon the normal peaceful folk of the towns.

My suggestion would be to wear armor at all times, get an escort if you ARE going to leave city walls, and travel WITH people.

I would hope that most of us joined this Guild to help people. Many times this includes putting others needs above our own. This is one of those times.

I ask that you relay this message to other Empaths who might not see it. Let's watch out for each other.
