Pretty simple complaint/suggestion...

I really wish we could rub our bones without having to have a free hand (can't you run your fingers over them in the same hand that your holding them in?).

I basically have to do unlinked rolls cause I'm always holding a 50 cast moonblade with 50 cast Shape Moonblade on it and dont want to destroy it.

...rubbing bones doesn't actually do anything.

Really? I was always told to rub till tingle.

Thought it decreases chances of damaging bones/increases changes of bonus. I used my first pair of bones, rubbing till tingle every time, for like...a year.

Now that I started rolling bones in combat without rubbing, I go through about 7 sets in a week or two.

Yup - Rubbing bones does exactly nothing except give you a tingle and perhaps some joy, but no long term gains.

its old superstition that was confirmed to do nothing.

Though it'd be funny if they went back and said "whoops, heh guess it did help". I still do this though its mostly out of habit.

I don't care if it does nothing either, I still rub for a tingle partially in homage to the days where you had to rub bones to attune them to the skillset you wanted to predict on.

But yeah, it doesn't do anything at all for you mechanically. Bones in general are a lot more fragile than they used to be though, I notice.

Rubbing bones always gives me joy.

My bone to pick with bones is that the creation process is dumb and forces you to script it. Oops you carved once too many and ruined everything, you idiot. Come on.

I did this with a mammoth tusk on accident once.

Part of me appreciates having an easy way to destroy them if you're just carving to train, part of me still cringes when I think about that mammoth tusk.

Actually, so did I. It was because I was too lazy to change my script so I thought I'd make a set by had. Big mistake. Back to script.

I haven't rubbed these at all except once to attune them to me.

>l my bone
You recognize the bones as a divination tool of Moon Mages.
The Krr-tich bone is fairly well-balanced and is attuned.
The Sek-rith bone is fairly well-balanced and is attuned.
The Moon Sphere is fairly well-made and is attuned.
The Sun Disk is slightly attuned to its white side.
The bones are starting to show signs of wear.
You recognize the bones as belonging to you.

Now, when can I create my own charts?

Ah well, nix my complaint and thanks for the info. I guess I just linked that newfound fragility of bones Cael mentioned before to that of rubbing away.

Because you feel pretty in pink?

Tell me about it, I'm half-tempted to post a thread about sectual interactions to release the frustration.

Its always nice to see close sectual relations, the gypsies on the other hand tend to form loose sectual ties.

One of the best things about playing a moon mage is that we have a lot of sects. Most guilds don't have any sects at all.

Some sects have their bones tingle, others like their pictures and charts.

Some like to have a mirror while they work, and others perform blindfolded.

Some sects have it done day and night, while others all year long.

Some sects enjoy the company of a duck, while others yearn the good times they had with a turtle.

We have a process on the third floor.

At the very least, it stops annoying people from coming there to hang around. At least for the most part. Can't really do anything about the occasional gathering.
