Is there any in-game lore linking Grazhir to Makiri?

Forget the actual book name in Gemstone, but they refer to Makiri as looking egg-shaped and appearing to be growing.
In Dragonrealms, the Legend of the World Dragon book states Grazhir was considered the fourth moon at one time, but it was truly the egg of the World Dragon, so it exploded and fell to Earth when the dragon hatched.
There is no official lore directly linking the two games, but I think it's safe to say Dragonrealms is a spiritual successor to Gemstone IV, both mechanically and thematically.

I have no idea where the post is, but long ago Solomon said there is about a 50,000 year gap between GS and DR.

You see Grazhir cracking open in one sharp movement.
The World Dragon emerges, roaring soundlessly.
It moves to sear Katamba to a lifeless black.
You see the night sky, filled with stars.
