Here's a report of the discussion from yesterday!
[18:02] Miskton says, "Okay, I think we can get started, unless anyone knows of any stragglers still on their way."
[18:03] Miskton says, "Okay! Thank you all for coming."
[18:03] Miskton says, "The web of fate has been fairly calm lately, but there is still a bit to discuss."
[18:03] Miskton says, "Most notably, the visions that were seen during the recent series of wyvern attacks."
[18:04] You hear the voice of Lasciel say, "Those seemed pretty straightforward."
[18:04] Miskton says, "There were a number of different visions, most of which seemed to be from the perspectives of various wyverns themselves."
[18:05] Miskton says, "The first one was not from that perspective, though, and for many of us who saw it, was probably the first time we ever saw a wyvern."
[18:05] Miskton says, "A chill suddenly traveled down my spine as my sight was seized by prophecy, and the sound of leathern wings filled the air. The city of Shard lay in flames, its streets and walls set upon by massive wyverns ranging in size from a horse to a house. One breathed a huge jet of flame at the sturdy gates, filling my sight with fire. Suddenly the vision abruptly ended, leaving me a bit shaken."
[18:06] Miskton says, "Straightforward enough, I think."
[18:07] Miskton says, "The next few visions are from the perspectives of wyverns, and bring to mind some of the unpleasant side of experiencing visions."
[18:07] Miskton says, "Particularly when the viewpoint from which you're experiencing the vision belongs to something... unpleasant."
[18:07] Miskton says, "Wind rushed past my wings, warmed by the blasts of fire I let loose upon the tiny, squirming, pale things far below. My young ones squealed as they bit into the toasted remains. Soon they would be the ones soaring as I did, and for them I ventured out like this. Every mother must teach her children! I swooped in low, modeling the hunter s form as I snapped off a warm bit of flesh from some being I barely registered as having been alive. Its blood filled my jaws, hot and metallic, and I knew deep within me that this was my purpose. Suddenly the euphoric blood-lust was ripped from me and my vision snapped back to the mundane, though a faint iron-like tinge still clung to my tongue."
[18:10] Miskton says, "My senses spun and warped as a vision fully overcame me. Unsteadily, I lurched forward upon the unnaturally smooth ground, my talons marring it with deep furrows as I did. The creatures mades soft mewling noises as they rushed past me, disintegrating into sweet, wet squishes and sharp crunches between my jaws. The food came right to me here! I stretched my still-weak wings, testing them once more. Not yet. Soon. Eat more. Eat more. Eat more. Eat more. A sharp pain disrupted those thoughts, and, as I regained my senses, the vision dissipated, though faint echoes of a great hunger lingered."
[18:10] Miskton says, "My vision shifted, and I found myself soaring high above my mountaintop home. Lights sparkled in a large circle somewhere to the east, proven to be fine hunting grounds filled with fat and delicious creatures. Though many strange holes in space had been opening to other lands, I considered this home. The pale but delicious creatures began to climb up to my home, some of them wielding sharp metal sticks and strange magic. I turned to release my flame upon them to char them to cinders, when my vision suddenly returned to normal."
[18:11] Miskton says, "It's rather unsettling to experience things through the mind of a creature that thinks you look tasty."
[18:11] Leucius says, "I'm delicious, nice to know."
[18:11] Sebestyen says, "It must have been."
[18:13] Miskton says, "That last vision does bring up an interesting thought, though. I've been told that the wyverns were taking advantage of moongates opened during the attacks, but that doesn't explain how they wound up covering such a wide area to begin with."
[18:13] Skaen says, "Wings."
[18:13] Zynara asks Miskton, "Did anyone actually see them go through a moongate?"
[18:13] Skaen says, "Yes."
[18:13] Zynara says, "I was told this happened, but didn't see it."
[18:13] Skaen says, "They flew through my own a number of times."
[18:14] Zynara says to you, "Oh .. so that's how they got there..."
[18:14] You say, "I didn't actually catch it till the next day, things were moving so quickly."
[18:14] Leucius says, "It seemed quite hectic."
[18:14] Zynara says, "Yes... got in trouble at the keep about it."
[18:14] Miskton says, "I imagine they could fly from here up north if they wanted to, but I'm not sure why they would. I wonder if perhaps someone was spreading them about on purpose."
[18:14] Skaen says, "Anyone opening gates south would have spread them unintentionally."
[18:14] You say to Zynara, "I think so, yes. But I think others flew in as well. I saw them swarm in sometimes when there were no gates."
[18:15] Zynara says, "Definitely interesting."
[18:16] Miskton says, "Just a thought. No signs in any of the visions of anyone doing it on purpose, and once the wyverns were out in the open it would be easy for people to help them spread by accident."
[18:17] Sebestyen says, "That and without having to worry about ferries and gondolas and whatnot.. they probably could fly pretty quick."
[18:17] Leucius says, "A wyvern riding the ferry would look a lil odd."
[18:18] Zynara says, "They seemed to reproduce quite quickly as well."
[18:18] Sebestyen says, "But I would pay a plat or three to see it."
[18:18] Synamon asks, "The ferry part right?"
[18:18] Sebestyen says, "The wyvern on the ferry.. yes.. not the reproducing."
[18:18] Leucius says, "Whew."
[18:18] Sebestyen says, "I can only imagine what THAT might entail."
[18:19] Skaen says, "Quite a few rangers and warrior mages would be interested in the latter I'm sure."
[18:19] Leucius says, "I can't."
[18:19] Sebestyen says, "No pun intended with the tail part."
[18:20] Miskton says, "And that's all I've seen lately in the way of new visions. There's a number that continue to occur. The purple snake in the wasteland, the Elothean fighting shadowy enemies, those visions. But nothing else that seems to have started showing up recently."
[18:21] Sebestyen asks, "I seem to have missed the two you mentioned.. purple snake?"
[18:21] Leucius says, "I'm afraid to ask."
[18:22] Miskton says, "I found myself standing on a barren plain, the land dead and desolate as an oppressive sun loomed above. Something brushed my leg and I glanced down to find a serpent twining itself between my legs. It appeared to be molting, as pale skin covered its body and blinded its eyes. As it rubbed against me, a few flecks of skin broke off revealing brilliant purple scales beneath."
[18:22] Sebestyen says to Leucius, "You may be right.."
[18:22] Zynara says, "It's been seen a lot since before the Akul."
[18:22] Leucius says, "Ah."
[18:22] Miskton says, "It's one of the set of visions that started occurring back before all that Akul'tiz business. Most of them are still happening."
[18:22] Sebestyen says, "Oh.."
[18:23] Miskton says, "That particular one, I lean toward believing that it involves the Prophets of G'nar Peth in some way, or perhaps a particular member."
[18:23] Sebestyen says to Leucius, "Not as bad as it could have been."
[18:23] Zynara says, "Peleg."
[18:23] Leucius says, "Still, I learned I'm a tad depraved."
[18:23] Sebestyen says to Leucius, "There is that I suppose."
[18:24] You hear a voice ask something in Gerenshuge.
[18:24] Zynara asks, "Which vision of the necromancers?"
[18:24] Miskton says, "Also, the constellation of the Wolf doesn't seem to have changed since the last meeting, at which it was noted that the stars are now completely engulfed by that reddish-brown cloud."
[18:24] Leucius says, "Hmm."
[18:24] You hear a voice say something in Gerenshuge.
[18:24] Miskton asks, "What about necromancers?"
[18:25] Synamon says, "The necromancers have been having visions."
[18:25] Zynara says, "You might want to speak the language that the moderator can understand."
[18:25] Sebestyen says, "That cannot be good."
[18:25] Leucius says, "Depends."
[18:25] Leucius asks, "Is it of a mace to the head?"
[18:25] Sebestyen says, "Or.. yes.. it could be.."
[18:25] Sebestyen says, "If they are having gloom and doom visions.."
[18:25] Sebestyen says, "That would mean we have been fairly successful."
[18:26] Leucius says, "Perspectives."
[18:26] Sebestyen says to Leucius, "Good point."
[18:26] Synamon says, "The end of the vision seems like a warning. something about "they know, they -ALL- know."
[18:26] Sebestyen says, "We do. Pass it on to your necromantic family."
[18:26] Synamon says, "You wish."
[18:27] Synamon says, "The knowing part I mean, not the pass it on part."
[18:27] Sebestyen says, "Oh.."
[18:27] Sebestyen says to Synamon, "Well, inform us that we may know."
[18:27] Zynara asks something in Gerenshuge.
[18:27] Miskton says to Synamon, "If you know any more details, I would appreciate hearing them."
[18:28] Zynara says something in Gerenshuge.
[18:28] Synamon says to Miskton, "I only heard about it in passing. Zerreck mentioned it briefly and the end message."
[18:28] Sebestyen asks Synamon, "How is he these days? Any closer to the spiral?"
[18:29] Synamon says to Sebestyen, "He is well and did a bang up job aiding the fighters with the wyvern."
[18:29] Zynara says, "Was rather disconcerting fighting side by side."
[18:30] Sebestyen says to Synamon, "Ahh, a pity. And I would have refused to be near him."
[18:30] You say, "We can all be glad it is passed."
[18:30] Traim asks, "Syn, you are talking about the necro delusions?"
[18:30] Sebestyen says, "I was in Crossing once... and briefly allied myself with the Elpalzi."
[18:30] Synamon says to Sebestyen, "I am sure he would be okay with letting you die."
[18:30] Traim says, "Atazai mentioned they saw something by gweth on the islands."
[18:30] Sebestyen says to Synamon, "Oh, it is quite mutual, I assure you."
[18:30] Traim says, "No details though."
[18:30] Traim asks, "What'd Zerreck say?"
[18:30] Synamon asks Sebrahn, "Can you just not stand next to him?"
[18:31] Sebestyen says to Synamon, "He is my shield."
[18:31] Synamon says, "I only heard about it in passing, just the end part that seems like a warning."
[18:31] Sebrahn says, "I poor shield, I'd be."
[18:31] Sebrahn says, "Yeah, stuff and things that make sense. Ignore me."
[18:31] Hackett exclaims, "Oh hello my moonoid friends!"
[18:32] Traim says, "Sir moonoid friends to you, Hackett."
[18:32] Sebestyen says, "Oh bother."
[18:32] Hackett exclaims, "Sir Moonoid friends!"
[18:32] Traim asks Synamon, "A warning? To us? Or them?"
[18:32] Drexella says, "I'm pretty certain none of those three words apply to me."
[18:32] Traim says, "Oh that doesn't bode well."
[18:32] Sebestyen says to Drexella, "Nor I."
[18:32] Leucius says, "I feel fine as well."
[18:33] Drexella says to Sebestyen, "You get the sir part."
[18:33] Synamon says, "Something about "they know, they -all- know" i suppose it all depends on who the they is."
[18:33] Sebestyen says to Drexella, "No. Not at all."
[18:33] Warbrolus says, "Sounds like paranoid delusions."
[18:33] Zynara says, "What they "all" know or have seen would be more helpful in trying to decipher what was seen."
[18:33] Sebestyen says to Warbrolus, "Could be that too."
[18:33] Warbrolus says, "Being serious, not facetious."
[18:34] Synamon says, "Maybe it would be good to actually with speak with some one that has had the vision."
[18:35] Traim says, "Enlighten me...shadow. I will pass the word."
[18:35] Synamon asks Zynara, "You and Condran are pretty close lately, right?"
[18:35] Traim says, "Should you feel inclined."
[18:35] Traim asks, "The Hunger? Disturbing then for all of us, yes?"
[18:36] Sebestyen asks, "The hunger?"
[18:36] Sebestyen asks, "Again?"
[18:36] You hear the voice of Lasciel say, "Still hungry."
[18:36] Traim says, "That's what the whispers say."
[18:37] Traim asks, "Don't be another puppet then, eh?"
[18:37] Traim says, "I can tell you, having tried to glimpse towards that plane before, there's bad things looking for a way in."
[18:37] Sebestyen asks, "Well, I imagine it is still hungry. But to be closer to our plane now?"
[18:37] You hear a voice say, "I came to share my knowledge with you. Ilithi is my home. And I drive away others of my kind. Be glad that I do."
[18:37] Sebestyen says, "And yes.. I fear the necromantic fiddlings may give them a way to sneak in."
[18:38] Miskton says, "I would like to take a moment to note that I would appreciate it if, for the duration of the meeting, at least, we can keep this a place of peaceful discussion."
[18:38] Sebestyen asks, "Were we getting ready to fight?"
[18:38] Traim says, "Preemptive self-preservation on my part."
[18:38] Leucius says, "I was about to go all ballistic on everyone."
[18:38] Sebestyen says, "I was thinking of eating some lobster tail."
[18:39] Miskton says, "Violence against lobsters is acceptable."
[18:39] Sebestyen says, "I would think."
[18:39] Traim asks, "If you'll speak about it openly shadow, what was it that made you think Hunger?"
[18:39] Zynara says to Leucius, "That might be exerting yourself though."
[18:39] Leucius says, "The lobsters would disagree."
[18:39] Synamon says, "They are mean little crustaceans."
[18:39] Sebestyen says to Leucius, "Too dead to make much objection. And yummy too."
[18:39] You hear a voice say, "The craving it instilled in me."
[18:40] You hear a voice say, "I wanted to consume. But not food."
[18:40] You hear a voice say, "Something foul."
[18:40] You say, "Pardon please."
[18:40] Leucius says, "That sounds..unpleasant."
[18:40] You say to Miskton, "Thank you for your work in bringing us together."
[18:40] Warbrolus asks, "Consume fowl?"
Traim says, "Perhaps if you provide some details, the more experienced interpreters can provide insight. If you mean what you say."
Sebestyen says to Warbrolus, "Does not get much stronger than Justice."
You hear a voice say, "A creature with many eyes. and No eyes at the same time. Waiting. Watching."
You hear a voice say, "The feeling has not left since the vision. It follows me everywhere."
You hear a voice say, "Whatever this is, it is much worse than anything i could dream of."
Sebestyen says, "Then it must be positively awful."
Synamon says, "Zerreck is not evil."
Sebestyen asks Synamon, "Someone say he was?"
You hear a voice say, "It depends on by what standards i am judged Syn."
Sebrahn says, "Sounds like a potato."
Zynara asks, "Why do you speak from the shadows?"
Traim says, "The gods. And they are unequivocal."
Zynara says, "This is a very peaceful place."
Traim asks, "Is it just you?"
Traim asks, "Others see this too?"
You hear a voice say, "All of my children saw this."
Traim asks, "Does it worry you? Learning that demons are real?"
You hear a voice say, "It does."
Synamon asks, "Did anyone doubt that demons are real?"
Leucius says, "No one that hasn't been married more than once."
Sebestyen says, "I never have. But some must not think so as they dabble in forces that would loose them upon us."
You hear a voice say, "I fear only people who can see as we do can sense them."
Sebestyen asks Leucius, "Bad luck?"
Traim says, "I've heard considerable doubt, even before Lyras fell, that certain arts could open doors where doors were meant to be closed."
Synamon says to Sebestyen, "Or forces that could hold them at bay."
You hear a voice say, "See magic as we do."
Zynara says, "Why do people believe they can control such things."
Sebestyen says to Synamon, "Really? I have not yet seen much of that."
You hear a voice say, "If doors were going to open. They would have long before i was born. And by people far more powerful than myself."
Zynara says, "Seems to be rather naive."
Sebestyen says, "They have.. and can be closed as well, such as the stones near Riverhaven."
You hear a voice say, "Because I can control life and death. Without the gods. It is not naive to think other things possible. Your closed mind is what limits your power."
Traim says, "Don't let your path to self-determination make a puppet out of you or your...children. The moon mage guild has much experience with such things."
Traim says, "Consider counsel from somewhere else. If it's true that you're seeing, that all of you are seeing, the return of something like the Hunger..."
[18:58] Miskton says, "Given that I'm not aware of anything that ominous showing up in the web of fate, though, perhaps clerics might have a better idea of what the best preparations might be. I think it's worth taking seriously."
[18:58] Leucius asks, "Where would we be without something to worry about?"
[18:58] Sebestyen says, "Indeed. Precisely why I came tonight."
[18:58] Leucius says, "Especially you."
[18:59] Traim says, "You know me. I always think something is in the shadows ready to pounce."
[18:59] Miskton says to Zynara, "He may not have been able to give much more detail. If it's anything like the visions we experience, well... You know how it is, sometimes. Even on the best times, specific details are often hazy."
[18:59] Skaen says, "Worth watching but if it's necromancers seeing fearful visions of being consumed and not the rest of us, then they should be concerned more than we."
[18:59] Leucius says, "Indeed."
[18:59] Warbrolus says, "It's a safe bet."
[19:00] Traim says to Skaen, "I tend to agree, if it weren't for that collateral damage aspect."
[19:00] Synamon says to Sebestyen, "No one said apologize, but I don't know what you expect for him either. He comes in peace and offers information and he is treated rudely, he comes in fighting and he is nothing but a dirty necromancer. He can't win unless you all lose and that was not his intention."
[19:00] Traim says, "Still, if it were more than their delusion, you'd think we'd see a hint of it too."
[19:00] Zynara asks, "Who treated him rudely?"
[19:00] Skaen says, "Their whole existence represents a danger for collateral damage, visions notwithstanding."
[19:00] Sebestyen asks Synamon, "Who was rude?"
[19:00] Lasciel says, "Oh no, a necromancer was treated rudely."
[19:00] Lasciel says, "Heavens."
[19:00] Traim says to Skaen, "True."
[19:01] Drexella says, "I actually thought the entire room was rather restrained and respectful."
[19:01] Lasciel says, "Methinks the lady protests too much."
[19:01] Leucius says, "I think..most of us know what really rude is."
[19:01] Leucius says, "That was tame."
[19:01] Zynara says, "If someone can not have an opinion which may be the same as someone else's then these discussions don't go very far."
[19:01] Zynara says, "Or may not be the same as the case may be."
[19:01] Sebestyen says, "Seems he TOOK offense where none was proffered."
[19:01] Drexella says, "He got treated better than I do in some crowds."
[19:01] Leucius says, "I agree."
[19:01] Lasciel says, "A lot of you are offensive."
[19:02] Lasciel says, "Bad combo."
[19:02] Drexella says, "A lot of us are."
[19:02] Traim says, "He's lucky he escaped without pikes and blades. And probably, so are many of us. Let's let it go at that."
[19:02] Leucius says, "There is that."
[19:02] Leucius says, "I found it interesting."
[19:02] Sebestyen says, "There is that I suppose. But if I am offensive to a necromancer, well.. not sure that I care overmuch."
[19:02] Zynara says, "Yeah.. I'm glad to be breathing."
[19:02] Lasciel says, "If cats and dogs get along something is wrong, this went well."
[19:02] Lasciel says, "Everyone be proud of yourselves."
[19:02] Drexella says, "Coming from Lasciel, frightening."
[19:02] Synamon says, "Rude may have been the wrong word."
[19:03] Redeth quietly says, "I generally am."
[19:03] Traim says, "There will be plenty of time to fight, I am sure. After Atazai mentioned they saw something...it would be nice to hear what it is. We got more than I thought."
[19:03] Sebestyen asks Synamon, "Disagreeable?"
[19:03] Synamon says, "Disagreeable."
[19:03] Lasciel says, "I can pry it out of Atazai."
[19:03] Starlear says, "I'm sure that people whose minds aren't warped by horrific energies will sense something at some point. We can find out more in the future one way or another."
[19:03] Lasciel says, "Whatever it is."
[19:03] Sebestyen says to Synamon, "Let him know he is thin skinned."
[19:03] Traim says to Lasciel, "Do that, she's the one that mentioned it to me, without detail."
[19:03] Synamon says, "To some one that only expects cruelty."
[19:03] Sebestyen says to Synamon, "Do not make him out to be a victim."
[19:04] Redeth quietly asks Sebestyen, "He isn't?"
[19:04] Sebestyen says, "He chose his path, and reaps what he sows."
[19:04] Redeth quietly says, "I've never a monster that wasn't made."
[19:04] Synamon says to Sebestyen, "Do not presume to know what he is or what he chose."
[19:04] Starlear says, "The only concern I have is that I'm sure folks like Khiol will turn it into a soapbox to talk about being the saviors of Elanthia using their perversions. Until more can be found out, I'd rather not give them a podium for false martyrdom."
[19:04] Zynara says, "It was nice of him to try and warn us.. although I'm still unclear "what" the warning actually is."
[19:04] Sebestyen asks Synamon, "All I need to know is he creates undead, and does violence against me and mine. Need I presume more than that?"
[19:05] Leucius says, "Khiol: my hero."
[19:05] Starlear says, "There's enough apathy as it is, we don't need to pile sympathy atop it."
[19:05] Leucius says, "Kill me now."
[19:05] Drexella says to Leucius, "That is promptly going to be taken out of context and spread around, you know this."
[19:05] Sebestyen says to Leucius, "Too much work."
[19:05] Leucius asks, "I'm retired, who cares?"
[19:06] Traim says, "Apologies that I came in late, did I miss the further vision discussion? I missed wyverns I know."
[19:06] Sebestyen says, "That and the purple snake."
[19:06] Sebestyen says, "And something about tails.."
[19:06] Traim asks, "Ah, the pethian vision...still?"
[19:06] Miskton says, "The only new things I had to discuss where the wyvern visions."
[19:06] Sebestyen says to Traim, "I asked to hear it.. it was new to me."
[19:06] Miskton says, "Yes, the visions from around that time are still occurring."
[19:07] Traim asks, "Strange. Any new thoughts to that longevity? No one has seen any more of the towers falling?"
[19:07] Traim asks, "Or..Tiv?"
[19:07] Miskton says, "Nothing about Tiv."
[19:08] Miskton says, "There is still one vision of the destruction of towers..."
[19:08] Miskton says, "It appeared before all those others started appearing in rapid succession, though."
[19:09] Miskton says, "Six towers of light sprang into being about me. They were aglow with chilly starlight, solid and seemingly eternal. Yet as I watched, fissures, dark as the void, spiderwebbed through each of them, causing one to explode in a shower of searing fragments."
[19:09] Miskton says, "The remainder resisted. For a time. Until the top of another tower imploded, leaving naught but a ragged stump behind."
[19:09] Miskton says, "The remaining four continued to struggle, though the fissures were now a vast network of absolute darkness, until, they too, could stand no more and crumbled into motes of dying light."
[19:09] Miskton says, "One exploding in a shower of searing fragments, well..."
[19:09] Miskton says, "I suppose we can say that has happened."
[19:10] Miskton says, "There are no clues that I can discern as to which tower might which, though. Except in hindsight."
[19:11] Traim asks, "The second, potentials? Riverhaven, Crossing, Shard. Would Taisgath count? Cherulisa too?"
[19:11] Traim says, "Are we all in towers? We should diversify for the sake of vision interpretation."
[19:11] Skaen says, "Perhaps the towers are not towers at all but the six standing guildleaders who will fall."
[19:12] Lasciel says, "Should move all the shards to underground bunkers."
[19:12] Zynara asks, "Is it possible it's referring to the shards themselves?"
[19:13] Skaen says, "There are more than six named Grazhir shards."
[19:13] Lasciel says, "Yeah but nobody goes to some of them."
[19:13] Traim says, "The guild survives without them too, it has before. Guildleaders on the other hand..."
[19:14] Traim asks, "I guess the question is which loss would send the rest tumbling?"
[19:14] Zynara says, "True.. your supposition is likely more in line with the vision.. but the question is.. if it's related to Guildleader Tiv leaving and the guild being destroyed.. why do we still sense it.. often after an event has come to pass, the impression doesn't linger this long."
[19:14] Skaen says, "Because the vision doesn't say merely one will fall."
[19:14] Miskton says, "Well, we've only seen part of what it has to show."
[19:14] Redeth quietly says, "You walk the astral plane."
[19:15] Lasciel says, "Nothing gets by Redeth."
[19:15] Redeth quietly asks, "Isn't there a central chamber?"
[19:15] Zynara says, "It is one that we don't see often."
[19:15] Miskton says, "Chamber is perhaps not the right word, but more or less, yes."
