Vivviane smiles a bit oddly at Linkwurst.

Caelumia says, "Mainly ethical and moral implications of its study and use."

Hnot says to Raliena, "I'm gonna fly out a window cause I'm not popular "

Far Seer Elsbecca just arrived.

Raliena grins at Hnot.

A cantankerous Shadow Servant trudges in, following its master.

Raliena says to Hnot, "I'll probably be right behind you for being cynical"

Radivnal says, "Might I ask who it is that does the window throwing? I've had it done by Kssarh but I was told he stopped that practice..."

Rekletiva says, "He didn't stop."

Guildleader Kssarh just arrived.

Radivnal chuckles.

Caelumia says, "Master Kssarh is still in top form as far as defenestration goes."

Caelumia coughs.

Eason gets an impish expression on his face, and lets out a hearty cheer.

Raliena says, "see"

Caelumia bows to Kssarh.

Eason nods politely to Kssarh.

Radivnal nods to Rekletiva.

Raliena waves to Kssarh.

Jairem gazes at Kssarh.

Hnot smiles at Kssarh.

Soalaris stands up.

Soalaris bows to Kssarh.

Vivviane quietly says, "In the grand scheme of things, a flight out of a window, as entertaining as it might seem, is rather insignifigant."

Vivviane nods politely to Kssarh.

Linkwurst says, "Kssarh a doughball these days."

Kssarh glances at Linkwurst.

Radivnal coughs.

Elsbecca curtsies to Kssarh.

Aluriaz says, "always watching"

Rekletiva chortles softly at some secret joke.

Caelumia rubs her head.

Linkwurst blanches.

Aluriaz curtsies to Kssarh.

Rekletiva gazes upward.

Linkwurst cowers in fear.

You shake your head.
Caelumia says, "If I have to start killing people this time instead I'm going to be pretty unhappy."

Raliena says, "you better cower"

With amazing speed, Kssarh strikes Linkwurst in the throat with the edge of his flattened palm. Linkwurst clutches his throat, wheezing pathetically.

While Linkwurst is still gasping for breath, Kssarh grabs them under the arms and swiftly hauls them towards the window. With a flick of Kssarh's wrist, the window flies open and he proceeds to throw Linkwurst through it. You hear a startled scream followed shortly after by a sickening THUD far below.

Elsbecca winces.

Caelumia's jaw drops.

Jairem chuckles.

Your jaw drops.

Raliena shakes her head.

Radivnal appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Kssarh asks, "Let me be terribly blunt, as that appears to be the only way to get through to any of my... unfortunate pupils. I am a very busy man and I am particularly busy today. If I so much as get an itch in the direction of this meeting, there will be pain. The specific parts of the body of whoever causes me the most grief will become indistinguishable from one another and I will delight in making this so. Is this perfectly clear, or will you need a demonstration before you proceed?"

Soalaris says, "Morning Sunshine."

Soalaris beams at Kssarh!

Caelumia's shoulders bow as if under some great burden.

Elsbecca nods to Kssarh.

Hnot says, "No, that should work."

Hnot nods to Kssarh.

Aluriaz says, "sounds good to me"

Vivviane quietly says, "Ever the educator."

Vivviane chortles softly at some secret joke.

Daellid gives Kssarh a slight nod.

Caelumia weakly says, "Haa..ha."

Radivnal grins at Rekletiva.

Aluriaz says, "hopefully he learnt sumptin"

Vivviane leans on her staff.

Guildleader Kssarh just went east.

Elsbecca nods to Aluriaz.

Caelumia says, "I'm going to get grey hairs."

Raliena says, "What'd I miss? I was daydreaming..."

Vivviane quietly says to Aluriaz, "Doubtful."

Caelumia says, "At sixty-seven."

You say in Ilithic, "If...even a tenth of humans are like him. So very much is explained."

Radivnal says, "You missed Linkwurst getting a lesson in flight"

Vivviane smirks.

Radivnal nods to you.

Radivnal smirks.

Raliena says, "no, I caught that it was after that I missed"

The air shimmers for a moment as Linkwurst's spell ends and he becomes visible once more.

Radivnal says in Ilithic, "I don't think a tenth could even stare him in the eyes, much less be 'like him'"

Rekletiva asks Linkwurst, "Have all your teeth?"

Caelumia says, "So... where was I..."

Raliena pats Linkwurst on the back.

Kryeus says, "Last meeting we covered sorcery and it's ethical implications."

Linkwurst licks his lips.

Kryeus nods to Caelumia.

Caelumia says, "Right."

You say to Radivnal in Ilithic, "That is probably best."

Eason pats Kryeus on the back.

Radivnal nods to you.

Soalaris says, "And this meeting..."

Soalaris shrugs.

Soalaris asks, "Whats the plan?"

Caelumia says, "Preceeded by a short lecture in guild history, mainly focusing on the impact of the Celestial Compact."

Caelumia asks, "How many of you were here last time?"

Soalaris casually observes the area.

Krisalia says, "i was"

Aluriaz says, "I missed it"

Eason raises his hand.

Vivviane gently rolls her head from side to side, causing the embroidered hummingbirds to appear to fly towards the closed golden eye at the center of her blindfold.

Vivviane leans on her staff.

Radivnal says to you in Ilithic, "Otherwise I feel we would have been wiped out by the Human-Elven War"

Vivviane quietly says, "To me, the sorcery subject is quite... simple."

Caelumia says, "The Adan'f, the Dark Hand, legendary spells like the Bonegrinder and Sidhlot's Flaying."

Vivviane quietly says, "You don't give a child a bared dagger, lest they hurt themselves or others."

Caelumia says, "But we look at what we know of teleologic sorcery, and we don't really see any of that."

Caelumia asks, "So a question for all of you - what makes the application of teleologic sorcery right or wrong?"

Linkwurst asks, "We have no power over sorcery as a whole, so Understanding it is about all we can ever hope for, no?"

Vivviane smiles a bit oddly at Caelumia.

Vivviane quietly asks, "If I may?"

Eason says, "The fact that malice and corrupt luck bombard the target, twisting its fate, possiblt"

A shimmering mirror of shadows appears momentarily in the air above, briefly revealing Olandern's face.

Eason coughs.

Paschein gazes upward.

Caelumia says, "And that leads me to something in a bit."

Dreamer Raeshanna just arrived.

Elsbecca hugs Raeshanna, getting a smile in return.

Eason nods politely.

Vivviane quietly says, "It is a matter of understanding and experimentation some would say."

Caelumia says, "This is an important topic. Surely some of you must have strong opinions either way."

Caelumia asks, "Those of you that are undecided, why?"

Vivviane quietly says, "Others would say, that they are powerfull enough, wise enough, learned enough to study it safely."

Caelumia says, "We're focusing on teleologic sorcery and the Web of Fate."

Aluriaz smiles at Vivviane.

Rekletiva says, "Heh."

Radivnal says to Caelumia, "Ignorance, lack of information, I remain undecided until I gather as many facts as I can and then arrive upon the logical conclusion..."

Vivviane quietly says, "Some would even boast that they might control it."

Vivviane ponders.

Caelumia says, "I made my stance on sorcery abundantly clear last time, but I'll hold off on my assertions until we get a few more talkers."

Linkwurst says, "Never encountered any sorcery myself, so I only have rumors to go on...S'why I'm undercided."

Vivviane quietly says, "However, one does not pluck at the skiens of fate with impunity."

Vivviane quietly says, "If I may digress for a moment? I wish to tell a story."

Linkwurst smiles at Vivviane.

Vivviane quietly says, "As our... guests... are quite aware. In fact, those who watch from afar were instrumental in momentarily blocking that connection to the plane of probability."

Vivviane quietly says, "So, to those who would experiment with things they do not understand, cannot truly fathom, I offer this simple lesson."

Vivviane quietly says, "And both were destroyed by those very learned in our magic. Those who are close to the plane of probability. Who are accomplished seers."

Caelumia says, "Who can tell what the original purpose of them was, though."

Caelumia says, "We know now that they act as an anchor of sorts between the two planes."

Caelumia says, "Beneath the Taisgathan obelisk the Plane of Probability seems to bleed into our own."

Linkwurst asks, "more so than the Shards of Grahzir?"

Radivnal asks, "Do you know the origin of the obelisks?"

Caelumia says, "I do not believe anyone alive truly knows the origins of the obelisks."

Radivnal nods.

Radivnal folds his arms across his chest.

Radivnal ponders.

Caelumia says, "Grazhor doesn't link us to the Plane of Probability, so..."

Caelumia grins at Linkwurst.

Caelumia says, "Grazhir, rather."

Linkwurst winces.

Raliena blinks.

Raliena casually observes the area.

Caelumia laughs!

Caelumia says, "Shh, they might actually believe you."

Longalar stands up.

Linkwurst gnaws on his lip.

Caelumia appears to be trying hard not to grin.

Raliena asks, "So what is it we can do? I mean that is the point of this is to find a solution is it not?"

Caelumia says, "If you want to participate in the meeting you could move out onto your balcony for a mirror."

Caelumia asks, "A solution to what, hm?"

Caelumia peers quizzically at Raliena.

Linkwurst asks, "a solution? Have we nailed down the problem?"

Caelumia says, "Well yes it depends on where you think the problem lies."

Raliena asks, "To protect the last standing one?"

Radivnal says, "To a simple warmage...it seems your problem is that your grip on the Plane of Probability is rather tenuous..."

Raliena says, "or am I reading this meeting wrong"

Caelumia says, "I wouldn't think it's in terrible danger."

Linkwurst says, "I think that would be in our own best interests....."

Daellid nods at Radivnal, obviously agreeing with his views.

You ask, "Weren't the last two destroyed when sorcery was used on or near them?"

Caelumia says to Radivnal, "For some... yes."

Caelumia says, "For others..."

Caelumia says, "Oh, the obelisk is only the beginning."

Linkwurst says, "we need to build a new one...a better one. We have the technology."

Linkwurst asks, "Don't we?"

Caelumia says, "The Pelag ai Aldam knows that."

Aluriaz grins at Linkwurst.

Daellid chuckles.

You say to Linkwurst, "I think ... I think we require Grazhir."

Paschein grins at Tyler.

Radivnal says, "The Pelag ai Aldam? Names I don't understand are never good..."

You ask, "Is Fate actually Fate, in other words?"

Caelumia asks, "Are we simply doing what we were meant to do or are we violating some law of the universe?"

Raliena asks, "well as moon mages shouldn't we know those answers?"

Niaura says, "Do Teleologic spells mix manas? aren't sorceries naturally volatile? and the plane of probability also naturally volatile? volatile plus volatile...."

Caelumia says, "The ruins aren't caused by ancient sorcery, really."

Caelumia says, "The obelisk was destroyed relatively recently."

Vivviane quietly says, "The problem is this, and it seems quite simple to me."

Raliena says, "our guild was built here for a purpose Im sure"

Vivviane quietly says, "We truly don't know what we're dealing with."

Radivnal says, "But if there is a problem, the philosophical answers must wait until the problem is resolved, then you can go back to your ponderings...asking whether fate is fate is all well and good in times of peace"

Rekletiva says to Raliena, "If you are a moon mage, and you don't know, then I'd say being a moon mage does not grant you the knowledge."

Vivviane quietly says, "Either with the obelisks, or with sorcery."

Caelumia says to Radivnal, "It's very relevant."

Paschein nods to Tyler.

Caelumia says, "It's happening now. And you must make your decision based on what you believe is true."

Radivnal says, "So long as it is..."

Linkwurst asks, "So is this gathering to decide by what measures we are to begin investigating these questions?"

You ask Vivviane, "But do we stay ignorant on the subject or not?"

Caelumia says, "This gathering is meant to edify."

Linkwurst coughs.

Caelumia says, "If you want me to stand here and tell you what to do, I'm sorry, I won't do that."

Raliena says, "no being a moon mage does not grant you knowledge however the privlage of being a moon mage grants you the resources to educate yourself to the fullest on matters of consequence im sure"

Vivviane quietly says to you, "Recent attempts to learn more have proved disasterous."

Raliena nods to Rekletiva.

Caelumia says, "We are for the moment skipping over the fact that sorcery is inherently dangerous and volatile and looking at what teleology actually -does-."

Linkwurst says, "So many of our endevors seem to lead to disasterous endings."

Raliena says, "maybe we are looking at it from the wrong angle"

Aluriaz ponders.

Kryeus asks, "Then from what we know of teleology for the moment, what would you speculate it's purpose is?"

Linkwurst asks, "Ummm....not to sound like the total idiot here, but exactly is Teleology?"

You say to Vivviane, "But when have we ever listened to disaster? And by we, I mean all civilized people. We change things up a little, but we keep going for we have a drive to learn."

Vivviane quietly says, "It seems its purpose is to warp the impact of the plane of probability on the plane of abiding."

Linkwurst says, "What exactly that is...."

Caelumia says, "Teleologic sorcery is magic that manipulates the Web of Fate directly and forcefully alters its course or function."

Kryeus asks, "What tangible benefit would we reach towards if research into it were open and acceptable?"

Kryeus peers quizzically at Vivviane.

Kryeus says, "So far, I see none."

Raliena ponders.

Radivnal says, "Well, it seems to me...quite simply" Radivnal nods to Vivviane, "that if something is dangerous, as sorcery inherently is...well...you don't tread harshly over thin ice...if that makes sense"

Caelumia says, "Another question then."

You ask, "The practice of it may truly be dangerous. But the study of it? To seek to understand it?"

Caelumia says, "Can sorcery ever do good."

Rekletiva says, "Thought differently, teleology is the creation of free will."

Caelumia says, "Ignoring the implications of what 'good' might mean."

Radivnal says to you, "The study of it will ultimately result in its use"

Caelumia asks, "In your own mind whatever good is, can it do good?"

Kryeus says, "History has shown us again and again nothing good will come of it."

You nod to Radivnal.

Raliena says, "thats a matter only to be answered by time and trial and error"

Linkwurst says, "Study should never be supressed."

Raliena nods to Caelumia.

Caelumia quietly says to herself, "Meraud, I hope Master Kssarh doesn't throttle me for this."

Linkwurst says, "Use of that knowledge is another monster entirely."

You say to Radivnal, "Eventually, that is true. But perhaps not. Not if the early studies points to how dangerous it might be,."

Aluriaz smiles.

Kryeus says, "Knowledge for the sake of knowledge and power for the sake of power isn't enlightenment, it's nothing more than corruption."

Vivviane quietly asks, "Shall we speak about another rather recent event involving sorcery, and the impact it may have on the world?"

Vivviane ponders.

Rekletiva innocently asks Caelumia, "Meraud, ruthless seeker of knowledge?"

Raliena says, "why dont we ask the guild master his thoughts on sorcery... I mean surely he would have some imput on the matter considering his guild members are the ones chosen to wield the magic "

Vivviane nods.

Daellid says, "Seeing as I'm as of yet ignorant to have a real opinion."

Rekletiva says, "His reaction seems to be a mix of defenestration and much shouting."

Vivviane quietly asks, "I should hope that all here have heard of the Mirror Wraith Prophecy?"

Radivnal asks you, "I'm sorry to disagree with you on this, and please realize I'm very respectful of your view, but if you should find it is dangerous...someone will ultimately abuse that power...need this warmage remind you of Mibgluc?"

Daellid nods to Vivviane.

Kryeus says, "Taramaine has given us his position and warned us against it. Our guildleaders have not given us any reason to doubt his warning."

(Vivviane rubs her left arm rather absently, as if she wasn't even aware she was doing it.)

You say to Radivnal, "I thank you for the respect. You do have a point. But sadly even if I don't study the rudiments of it, the knowledge is there for others to study. And others to abuse without study."
